Nice you are enjoying the game, it was my first FF. Cloud is one of the better FF protagonists in my humble opinion, can't say anything about Cloud's development since it's pretty much spoiler territory

I mean hey, the only unfortunate thing is that I actually know very few stuff in FF7 like Aerith's death scene and **** unlike FF9 where I went totally blind, lmao.

I think why I'm also a bit critical in some aspects about this game is that literally everyone says this is the best RPG ever, so I'd like to see that for myself.

I mean it ain't Mother 3, Xenoblade 2 or FF9 but will see.

The Problem with my drawing's aren't that I can't draw the characters I want to cause I can totally do that fine enough it's just that I have a hard time drawing them in unique poses without looking at inspiration and such.

Like if I tried to draw Duster Kicking the air I would have to look at either some fan art and copy it or look at a picture of Duster and then of a different Character kicking the air in hopes of mixing the two together, I want to make completely unique fan art dang it!

But I just can't and I am not proud of my drawing skills at all.

Haha, fair enough. The game is by no means the best RPG ever ( I prefer other RPGs including ones from FF as well) but still I consider it a great one. Aerith's death is pretty much one of the big twists from the game but is not the only one, sadly the other major one gets kinda overlooked.

You should change references depending on the subject and pose. For Dedede, try looking up to stuff like official Kirby art or anime stills.

As far as Miiverse posts go, I've drawn a mature Inkling once in swimwear before. Luckily, it didn't violate any guidelines so I guess it was just barely acceptable.

Grab some concept art, or an image close to the vision you have in your mind.
You can start tracing the images, and then picture them as shapes, then use said shapes to create your own stuff, and then do that again and again until you have a desired result.

Artists use benchmarks and references all the time, just make sure you understand what makes it work instead of trying to perfectly copy it.

Ah I see what you're trying to say, So just use references for different things?

Like for Duster if I wanted to draw him Kicking the air or something pull a picture of someone in that pose be it a real life image or not

or for Geno if I want to make a picture of him shooting something I would use a picture of someone in that Pose for examples.

Don't just copy and paste though I would need to use it as a Reference not as a copy/paste image, I would alter it to fit Geno and add a few special effects like a beam or change the angle around.
