I will never understand why people get so rigidly attached to character designs. It is so ****ing annoying.

Most casuals I know do not stay for long periods of time. Smash can be mindless fun but people prefer the simplicity of Mario Party and Mario Kart for that.

I'd assume because this is gonna be a more serious take on the franchise, to help also appeal to the older kids...

But still, trying to make a more edgy take on a preschool show? WHY?

Well, I'd rather they make Dora more edgy then Barney(zilla) and Friends.

Besides they gotta ease people in, since Blue's Clue is the next edgy movie they're gonna be working on, and you know Sesame Street is probably working on Batman vs Super Grover.

There are loads of people out there that refuse to play with items off or on "boring" stages, you just have to look in the right places.

I'd wager the casual crowd heavily outweighs the competitive crowd, with a lot of people being in the middle, like me.

You only hear the loudest people on either extreme though
