This is still the best comic the Heroes team ever did. Just...the entirety of the last two panels. Azura's "this is for all the peeps in the cheap seats," Michalis being horrifically offended by being called a peep in the cheap seat, drummer Hardin...it's great.

I'd argue Paper Mario, Toad and Waluigi are the only characters left until Mario's representation is complete.

Not to say they should be the only characters added, but Geno or Fawful aren't that incredibly important to the Mario pantheon imo.

Yeah he could be great
he wouldn't even have to be an echo, he'd probably have a different Side B, Down B, and maybe some different A attacks too

Imo the Mario&Luigi rpg games deserve representation and Fawful is the best man for the job

I honestly agree with this while I would love Geno he's not essential to the Mario Cast so the only characters Mario absolutely needs to be complete are Waluigi, Paper Mario and Toad.

But I would put Geno in over them first

I mean the more "species named species" characters we get besides the Pokemon the sadder I'll feel

Like, they even added a literal Peach named Peach in the game.

hey it's the most recognizable Mario enemy
Koopas and Goombas are a bit too generic, but anything other than those and the Plant aren't as well-known

I'm just sad that I finally replaced Nohr Azura on my main team with Legendary Azura because she turns everyone into calvary. Nohr Azura could be better depended upon to do damage, gave big stat boosts and looked much cooler, but damn that extra movement space is nice.

Waluigi and Toad are really all that's left of the main Super Mario cast. If we move on to spin-offs, Paper Mario and maybe some type of "Mario and Luigi" duo character if Sakurai could make it work.

After that though, I think that's pretty much it. I can't think of anyone else who would feel like a glaring omission from the roster (but that could change depending on where Pauline goes from here).
