Honestly though, of all the things about Fire Emblem, the one thing that irritates me the most about it is it's fandom. Execpt staindgrey and Opossum . You two are cool.

Certain characters in Awakening are certainly one-dimensional (Kellam pretty much exists solely for his joke, for example).

It's such a good joke though.

Like, I still can't get over the fact that they even put it on the cover art.

I’m not gonna go into detail, but he’s dealt with some bad health issues in the past. It’s possible this could be the case again but I can’t say for certain. I’ll let you all know when he gets back with me.

Ironically, this is one of the few banners that Camilla actually fits in thematically (since she did talk about hot springs quite a bit in her supports in Fates w/)

I find it even more ironic that she’s the free unit this time around.

Free-roaming is kinda giving Gaiden too much credit since it was an NES game. Four cardinal directions and all that. Three Houses is based much more on the remake's version.

Everything is best in moderation. Anime, videogames, sports, comic books, sugar, alcohol, sex, you name it. When someone can't talk about/do anything but that one thing, it's a problem.

I think the whole Fire Emblem fandom stereotype tends to be a bit overblown. Generally the places that are the most toxic for it, in my experience, are the places that are toxic in general, like the Youtube comment section or 4chan. In more dedicated communities these tend to get better, but it very much depends on the community.

Well, we only have like 5 Smash games. we're not quite as split over the different games, really the only split is Melee vs the newest game rather then many other splits.

Where OUR splits come from are character choices for the roster. Now that **** gets real nasty at times.

Funny story about anime and weeb stereotypes.

There's a store in the mall where I bought my brother-in-law his Christmas gift called Things Remembered. While I was there I was having a hard time deciding what to get and staying in my budget, so this girl helped me. She was a good salesman and a pretty cool person, and we talked a bit about Christmas and family and stuff for a good half hour while they made the gift. I learned her name, thought she was attractive, and I thought, if I start dating again, I should come back and ask her to go get coffee.

My brother-in-law this weekend went to Things Remembered for something else unrelated, and thought I'd like her too by sheer coincidence. So this is how he apparently went about it:

1. Asked if she was single in a store full of customers and coworkers.
2. Told her he's got a brother-in-law who's been single for a long time.
3. Asked if she liked anime, because he knows I watch Dragonball and work on a Gundam parody so clearly a girl liking anime or not is a dealbreaker?
4. Asked for her full name so I could find her on Facebook then wrote it down to give to me.

I am never going into that store again.
