Let them talk about it, it's not hurting anyone.
It isn't hurting anyone, but it can be a bit repetitive and annoying sometimes. If you talk about it occasionally, yet talk about other things too, that would be different. I am referring to the ones who are obsessed and won't stop.

Funny story about anime and weeb stereotypes.

There's a store in the mall where I bought my brother-in-law his Christmas gift called Things Remembered. While I was there I was having a hard time deciding what to get and staying in my budget, so this girl helped me. She was a good salesman and a pretty cool person, and we talked a bit about Christmas and family and stuff for a good half hour while they made the gift. I learned her name, thought she was attractive, and I thought, if I start dating again, I should come back and ask her to go get coffee.

My brother-in-law this weekend went to Things Remembered for something else unrelated, and thought I'd like her too by sheer coincidence. So this is how he apparently went about it:
  1. Asked if she was single while she was on the clock.
  2. Told her he's got a brother-in-law who's been single for a long time.
  3. Asked if she liked anime, because he knows I watch Dragonball and work on a Gundam parody so clearly a girl liking anime or not is a dealbreaker?
  4. Asked for her full name so I could find her on Facebook then wrote it down to give to me.
I am never going into that store again.

Seems like I missed the art focused conversation, welp.
Speaking of art, I feel like I just can't improve. I've started drawing when I was a little kid, and I was pretty good for my age. But recently I feel like I just can't improve at all. I try drawing different things, using different strategies, but I just don't get better. I'm feeling kinda down because of it. I see so many talented people posting amazing pieces of art and showing how they evolved in such short periods of time, while I'm stuck at the same level for more than a year.

I actually found a poster for an anime festival about 2 hours away from me the other day.

I didn't even think they had those in my area but ok

I mean, if they are talking to me I don't want to ignore them. That would be rude.
Then tell them you have no idea what they're talking about? It isn't that difficult.

Honestly one of the things I already really like about Three Houses is the fact that Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude have actual last names. Those are a rarity in this series, I swear.

Before this we've only had Marth (only in the OVA, which is dubiously canon, but not completely non-canon), Alm, and Celica with confirmed last names among main characters (Elincia as well, if you're one of the people who consider her a lord).

You got the GUTS! I wouldn't dare try to draw with a pen! D: You did great! And you apparently had less of a struggle when it came to draw Samus! T W T I suffer whenever I have to do that (Being a Ridley fan aside). :3 Keep it up!

xD That reminded me I did this silly thing with my Ridley amiibo and the World of Nintendo Metroid set I had gotten from Gamestop:

It’s awful feeling like you’ve plateaued. You’ve probably heard this a billion times, but don’t compare yourself to others and take your time. I still struggle a lot with many, many aspects of art. Just try and focus on what you find fun and you will improve naturally, no matter how slow it might seem.

A good friend of mine is periodically updating his grid and showing it to me. Those are fun to do, but I've never done them before.
I had the grid for years, but had a false start back when I first got it for many skilled based reasons.

The image software I use has a size limit, and the original grid I had to fill in was enormous (5x20) so I had to create a 10x10 grid so I could actually do it.

Don't worry, I feel the same way. I'm just a slow learner myself, is all, but I'm used to it. It's more of a hobby now than a passion, since gitting gud at it requires aptitude and/or immense dedication. When I see people much younger than me draw things you'd assume are illustrations for video games/other properties, I feel a bit ashamed at how far behind I lag. It's because of it that I don't share my art as much as I used to, so I only show a handful of people my stuff (and more than half only get to see the stuff if they ask).

Will Will I'm referring to people who have an anime obsession, by the way. Not just average anime fans. That wasn't targeted at you. Your kinda acting like an anime obsession is an ok thing. Besides, I was just simply stating my opinion. No need to be sarcastic m'lad.

You say that like I watch anime at all on the daily.

All I'm saying is that whether it's healthy or not, do you have the right to judge them on the spot just because you lack the knowledge of what they do?

i find it ironic that tipton also stole her kid trunks role
I think she kind of just took over Laura Bailey's roles wholesale, for the most part. Going back to Fire Emblem, Laura Bailey voiced Palla in Heroes, but Alexis Tipton voiced her in Shadows of Valentia.

Just wanna add, before the convo moves off, please, please feel free to dm me if you want to talk art, seek art help, and all that. I love sharing what I’ve learned, and I promise I’m a lot more talkative in a smaller conversation! <3

That's not really what I was implying.

Also I'm not judging anyone. Just saying it's a bit annoying in my opinion. I'm not wrong for having an opinion. I'm not shaming anyone or anything like that.

While on the topic, though it’s entirely possible Tipton could take over for Blaze as well, another voice actress I could see for Blaze is Lauren Landa, aka :ultrobinf:

(And I’ve thought this before I knew of her spirit battle)

If anyone was around last night, you may remember me as wondering about premium to change my name. I'm extremely blessed that it was changed for me, and I suppose I owe you guys an explanation.

This is my story.

My given name is Nate. I'm from the so-called "Bible Belt" in the Midwest United States. Around here most people of religious background are Christians and, for all intents and purposes, I am one too. But with that in mind, I hate calling myself one because of my beliefs. Yes, I believe the core ideologies of Christianity, but disagree with a lot of the more common points of contention. (For example, I'm clearly pro-LGBT.)

Ever since I was in kindergarten, I always knew I wasn't like the other kids. Not "normal." I never saw any problem with girls. Never liked the "girls have cooties" stereotype. One time I went home with a headband given to me for the fourth of July celebration (they were out of bracelets for the boys so I volunteered to take the girly headband happily.) Unfortunately, my mother took it as "they're trying to make my son gay!"

For years, I've always liked the idea of wearing girly clothes because I hate the ones designed for men. They're too itchy, too ugly, not fashionable enough! And in the back of my mind there's always been the question "What would my life be like if I had been born a girl?"

But it took a close friend coming out as trans for me to really think about my viewpoint. I couldn't hold it against her for wanting to be who she was! I didn't think much of it at the time, but the things she said in her coming out post applied almost scarily so to me.

Then came the day I took a quiz that a friend took on Facebook designed to tell you what percentage of your brain is masculine and which is feminine.

My results? Double the number of feminine answers to masculine ones. 64% to 32% with 4% neutral. Whenever I take these quizzes that say "let us guess your gender based on your answers" I always get female. So, in essence, this is the straw that broke the camel's back. It threw me into an identity crisis, one that lo and behold, my trans friends were able to help me through, because they've been through it before.

I chose a name for myself, Sabrina, and I've been letting them and some other close friends call me it. Most importantly, when I discussed all of this with my girlfriend, she's supported me too and even came out to me as bisexual. My coming out to her helped her to finally face a truth about her she had repressed - and I think that's awesome. The more my friends and my girl call me Sabrina... The more I feel I made the right choice. For the first time in 17 years I'm proud of who I am, and I'm happy with who I am. I love myself again, which is a feeling I haven't had since before puberty.

All's not well though. My family doesn't know, and until I can afford to have a vehicle, and for my girlfriend and I to get an apartment together, I can't tell them. I have to suffer and be mis-gendered by my own family because I have no other choice.

tl;dr - My name is Sabrina, and I'm a transgender girl. Nice to meet you! <3

I had a dream that two large, muscular men were chasing me throughout the ocean.
Then, to escape them, I swam under several busses, only to wash up on the beach wearing a Spider-Man costume.
This all took place in the Alola region.
