I think that these characters from Astral Chain are more important for Nintendo because it could be partnership.
And the Xenoblade series is already represented with Shulk + Arms isn't a big big game on Switch, and all the new characters added in Ultimate are more important than these two imo so the integration of Rex and Springman wasn't possible for the base game (and the DLC seems to be only third party characters).

I’ve had this in mind for Banjo’s Classic Mode, (Though I’m not counting :ultlink::ultzelda: since they’re different iterations of those characters) I’m trying to narrow it down to represent the most notable games so :ultmario::ultpeach::ultbowser: for Super Mario 64, :ultganondorf::ultyounglink: for Ocarina of Time, etc.

if it was during the beginning of the development cycle then maybe but that's a huge if and there's no telling if things changed, if they did they'd likely have to scrap it so I feel that Sakurai would go with pre-established characters.

DK, Diddy and K.Rool would also fit, for DK 64. Kirby and DDD for Crystal Shards. Maybe Gen 1 Pokemon for Stadium and Snap.

I mean we got partnership with Platinum already :ultbayonetta:, so I don’t think it’s entirely that important.

Alrighty, the only thing is that I think it’d be better to replace :ultfalcon: with :ultfox::ultfalco::ultwolf: to represent Star Fox 64 then I think it’d be perfect.

Then it'd be very risky and ill-advised to chose an IP that is in the incipient stages of existence to be in Smash considering how tumultuous development can be.

Yeah, we should be talking about Fulgore, but Banjo's the current topic.

I guess his Classic run would be SNES/Arcade characters, Robots or characters that match up with the KI Krew. There's some stuff to work with.

Damn, forgot about them. Since Star Fox 64 came out before Yoshi's Story, that would put my boi down to Round 3...
