I am not a Sonic fan, but you are going by what the lame meme makers say about the Sonic fanbase rather than the truth of the Sonic fanbase.
The Sonic fanbase can be toxic, but a big chunk of it is actually not.
The only Sonic Game I played is Sonic Mania.

Well actually we're completely animals just more "sophisticated" so to speak, but not "higher evolved" like some people say. Also we didn't evolve from monkeys or any other modern primate for that matter. It's more like every primate today including us evolved from generations of similar primates in the past and so on. I'm just saying because I like to nerd out about anthropology and such.

So technicality every smash character should be in that gang with a few exceptions such as rob and Pirahna Plant.

Technically, yes. Though I'd imagine you would include playable and spirits only. I'd think Quest 64's content would consist of major characters and mascot monsters only. If they aren't featured in the Manual or Covers or Advertisements, well...
