Look at it this way.

Naoto is a woman who believes she can't succeed in her dream career because people won't accept a female detective. Her idea of getting a sex change isn't due to wanting to be a man exactly, it's because she wants to do what she loves and doesn't see any other way out of her predicament. It's a last resort. Not a goal.

She isn't trans.

She's just like Mulan actually. Women disguising themselves as men to make it in a male dominated field.

Gotta remember too, Japanese trans people have said Naoto's arc isn't about trans issues at all. It's about sexism in the workplace.

You have to ignore her reasons for doing things to say that she's trans.

He should never, ever, ever have dialogue. Not only would it inevitably be bad if they did make him speak in a recognisable language, but I feel like Link is the silent game character.

I feel like Link could conceivably have good dialogue.
The different Links do have slight variations in personalities that would give them differences in dialogue and attitude, and it could be interesting.



That said, I do admittedly prefer silent Link.

Why? He does a pretty good voice for characters like that.

As much as I like Dee Bradley Baker, I think a female voice actor would suit Yoshi better speaking full dialogue...
