Gravity Falls is my favorite show of all time, and I don't think it's ever going to lose that position. I can't go far into detail at this moment in time since it's so late here, but there's just so much about it that I love. I miss it dearly, even if I do love the way it ended.

DuckTales is rising up there pretty quickly, and it reminds of GFs in many ways. My other favorites have admittedly been slightly more zig-zagged in quality (the fact that many of them have gone on long hiatuses doesn't help) but I still very much enjoy them. I hope to see more and more quality animated shows follow them in the future as these current shows near their conclusions.

Adventure Time used to be my favorite show, but I started losing interest in it a few years back...shortly after Frost and Fire. That episode has never sat well with me. After that, I slowly fell behind on the show, and with the numerous hiatuses combined with CN's terrible airing schedule and advertising methods for the show, I just...sort of left it behind, for a long while. I largely caught up just a few months back, though, just in time to see the series finale, and man, was that good.

Seeing a show you love come to an end is always bittersweet. But if you truly enjoy it, then the ride is more than worth it.

If we're talking Smash clones, Jump Ultimate Stars is still the GOAT. It was my first exposure to Jojo outside of videos of the old Capcom game. And it had most of the DBZ, and YuYu Hakusho characters you'd want, though Trunks and Kuwabara should have been more than Assists.

I'd want a Marvel Smash clone though. It'd be really cool in theory.

Sadly the only Anna's that are combined are the two from Archanea. Heroes/Fates/Awakening Anna, who would likely get the bulk of the votes, are all separate.

Just saw that, rip Anna. Hopefully, they can rally around one since combined they got a significant 20,000 votes last year I think.

Off-topic but still CYL, the recent disaster banner just announced seems like a blessing in disguise since it'll hopefully sabotage Camilla's chances. Her getting 3rd last year was super scary, and I feel her getting "Brave" status would allow IS to never tone down the Camilla shenanigans.

If we're talking favorite Western Animated series, Spectacular Spider-Man, Justice League/JL Unlimited, ATLA and 90's Spider-Man/X-Men are up there for me. For anime, Dragon Ball/DBZ, YYH and JoJo would be some of my favorites.

I should note that the Dark Tournament takes up a considerable chunk of the show and imo is the weakest aspect of the show...

Seems like what needs to be said about Avatar, Gravity Falls and Steven Universe have been said. Samurai Jack, The Spectacular Spider-Man and Gargoyles are also a few cartoons I loved growing up but haven’t fully finished yet though I have the means to so I’ll try to finish them soon. Many of these have influenced my own concepts for animated series.

A cartoon I feel is underrated and I’d love to see talked about more is The Real Ghostbusters. Before Q5 came in and mucked everything up, it was probably one of the best animated continuations of a movie I’ve ever seen and I still think it holds up pretty well today. I’m a huge Ghostbusters fan btw.

The Last Airbender is my favorite animated show of all time with Gravity Falls falling just barely behind. I have more Gravity Falls merchandise though, so I probably need to go fix that and by some Airbender merchandise at some point. But seriously though, I don't think I can understate how much I love Gravity Falls. A lot of its themes resonated with me on such a personal level that I had a miniature existential crisis after watching the finale.

I tried to get into Steven Universe and I think I can get where its popularity comes from but it just didn't hold my attention well enough for me to sit through all the long parts. Maybe I'll catch up to it someday when I have more free time. Maybe.

Before the topic drifts too far away from cartoons I also want to give a shout out to this gem called Over The Garden Wall. It's pretty short and it's on Hulu so it's pretty easy to watch for anyone who's got a couple spare hours.
I dunno, I only watched Gravity Falls this past year and I still think it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Even without the theories and speculation it still has some really amazing moments. I do feel like I missed out by not watching it while it was still being aired, but I still absolutely recommend it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

Seeing you also reminds me that I've watched most of Hilda of Netflix but got distracted by Ultimate's release. I'll probably get around to catching up with it eventually.

It's not that it's worse, it's just different. Like, it's the difference between following Smash speculation during pre release and seeing the roster all at once when the game launches.

Nothing will ever top The Angry Beavers for me though. Its a childhood favorite of mine my brother and I used to watch as a kid and our mom would always compare us to Daggett (Me) and Norbert (My brother).

Me being like Daggett when I was a kid all crazy, delusional and chaotic is what makes him my favorite character ever since I could easily relate.

On the topic of childhood cartoons, I've had the Chalk Zone theme song stuck in my head for the past week or so. That show and My Life as a Teenage Robot were very underrated.

Other favorite animated favorites of mine were Beast Wars, Godzilla: The Animated Series and InuYasha (Used to be my favorite anime but now its My Hero Academia).

Also grew up with Street Sharks, CatDog, Scooby-Doo and Kong: The Animated Series.

He actually helped me rediscover that series, I remember seeing reruns of it when I was younger since I wasn’t around for the initial run, and now I have most of the first ABC and syndicated episodes. And yes Lorenzo Music deserves all the praise.

Also I had a huge crush on this version of Janine and still love her to this day:

Random thought, but Smash hasn't had any creepy bug dudes as playable characters. Closest is Dark Samus, but Metroid's remind me more of Jellyfish than any bug. Though there's always any number of viable Pokemon I guess.

As far as I know, Nintendo doesn't really have any "Guyver" style characters. I guess I'm just thinking of character archetypes that the series hasn't seen.

That's what I'm curious about since Xion's too obscure(and if we got a Bloody Roar character, it'd be Yugo the main dude who turns into a Werewolf.) Again, they could just pick a bug Pokemon like Scizor or something.

Someone tell all these quickplay Clouds that F-Smash is not his primary neutral spacing tool. I appreciate all the easy wins but it's just really sad seeing so many Cloud players make the same mistakes.

Also speaking of Gravity Falls, I've been stalking the creator's Twitter for any news on that Netflix show hes supposedly working on and turns out he's a Smash Brothers and Nintendo fan. He uh, he makes some pretty interesting tweets sometimes.

Okay, so. Weird ass thing happened tonight.

Someone rang our doorbell at like 9:30pm and none of us were expecting anyone. I answered the door and there was a taxi outside. He yelled, "Mileena?" No one here had that name, so I told him he had the wrong address. Then he read back the address and said that it was a call-in for someone named Mileena.

I got the creepiest feeling that someone on the internet found my address and sent a taxi looking for my Mortal Kombat main just to tell me they know where I live and I briefly got terrified.

...then I looked it up and "Melina" is an actual name that people use and I got over it.
