I'm glad I didn't hype myself up for inevitable disappointment.

It had some good announcements, but the Smash teaser was a little mean lol

That said, Mario Maker 2 is high on the wish list, and I do like Tetris.

The only awful thing was the lack of Fantastic Four in Ultimate Alliance 3.
Everything else was great, mostly Link´s Awakening, Mario Maker 2, the Starlink update and DQ Builders 2.

And this is why we lower our expectations. We always get ahead of ourselves when we hear rumors of new characters. The suppossed SE character wasn't shown off at TGA, it wasn't shown today, and it probably won't be shown off for quite some time. Be patient with Sakurai.

Anyways, it's an okay Direct. I thought the Platinum Games title looked pretty neat, and then when I saw that anime opening and thought, "uh, wat?" and nearly blew a gasket when I found out it was Link!!!

The lack of Smash news and no mention of Animal Crossing is a bummer but honestly I didn't think it was that bad of a Direct. We got Mario Maker 2, new Dragon Quest western ports, and Astral Chain looks really cool.

I give it a 7/10.

Both Smash and Bayonetta 3 got basically nothing here. The only two things I wanted are both a bust. FFIX later today is neat though

Deltarune coming to Switch is nice too. Love the goofy trailers for his projects

So Smash is getting a big 3.0 update that they are telling later and we got our first look at Joker’s model, as well as him being released before April.

I actually thought the Link's Awakening Announcement was gonna be Erdrick cause it looked Anime-like and I barely have any knowledge on DQ. I'll take Link's Awakening!

Gotta be honest, that was pretty awful. Astral Chain looks great, but that's about it for me. The Zelda art style looks horrific, and I don't really care about Fire Emblem, Dragon Quest, or Mario Maker. I wasn't expecting much, but I didn't expect that little.

I almost had a heart attack when Astral Chain showed up, because my brain was just screaming "XENOBLADE X2 BAYBEEE"

That was... underwhelming. Platinum's new title looks cool. I'm happy for all the people who actually want... everything they showed.

Now we just wait for the Smash Centric direct detailing the spring update in either march or April.

God I love waiting. I don't even know why people stay invested in the games when the waiting's over. Waiting is the only way to have ANY fun. You know what. They should just stop making games and just start announcing them and they never release, because then we get to wait FOR EV VER!
