And even then, you still often use your lesser characters against lesser players. =[

Hey so I know it's going to be 4th of July weekend and all, but this friday the 3rd, is anyone down for smash? I missed the RR monday, and I just want to be able to smash with a human. We should then go to IHOP afterward.

as for my opinion on the poll, i think that we should stick to the challenges. its the fairest and most official way to do it. Like Ruby said with the RR, man people leave early and that not only puts them lower, but give a lot of people free wins that might have been losses. Too flawed. the panalist thing isnt a ad idea but again, the chalenges seem the most official.

Do you HAVE to count leaving early as a loss to all remaining matches? Can't you just leave it as it was before they leave?
Well say that i leave after playing 5 of my 10 sets. the other five people that i did not play need to get a win or a loss for my matches. they have to play everyone. in my opinion, its unfair if you give the remaining people the win, and unfair if you give them the loss. I think that the only way the RR should count towards rank is if someone 3-0 the person ahead of them. then it should be left up to the higher ranked people to decide. (This is what happened with me and Zung a little while ago. I was planning on challenging him to a ranking match but he left early. Since i had 3-0 him in the RR, Gamer decided to put me ahead of him anyway).

The only other thing i can do is just completely remove them from the brackets, which really doesn't help.
Every win/loss is important in round robins.

IHOP is as sick as camel poo, seriously my mom met a guy who worked there way back when and he would cough up the worst stuff, said it was something in the store that triggered his cough.
BTW I wanna smash sometime, melee or brawl.

my two cents on the rankings
round robin results should be taken into consideration not as far as who got 1st 2nd 3rd but who beat who in the bracket. If SOMEONE (coughxandercough) would get bracket images to me and tell me who left early i would be able to see who legitimately beat who and by what margin.
panelists idea can be done with the round robin results like stated above with consideration of WHO beat WHO and by what margin and the results will be discussed among our better players or something
challenging system is cool but then we get into the situation where some people can beat people who are above them but aren't necessarily better than that person overall. ie Kyle beats Xander but Xander generally does better overall against the better players like jackie and me. that's where the flaw in the challenges system is

Even in he knows what to do to beat me doesn't mean he will.
I won't be able to make it to the upcoming round robin, but I'll be there at the next one. (Elvis, be 4th by then so you can face me in a legitimate n00b gate challenge! I might even not use mario, just for you.. haha) But yeah, I just remembered that the GF took a few days off from work, so we're probably going to Mt. Lemon, then hopefully doing something crunk.. Maybe spend some money at the casino, I don't ****ing know. When we went last month, we came out with a pretty nice profit, so we'll see. By the way, has anyone been to Breakers? Was it fun/worth it, etc? Just trying to come up with some ideas.

Alright guys Saturday for the 4th of July we want to have a Smash BBQ. Right now, we trying to aim for having it at Xander's place, if his place won't be available, we'll need another place. Whose place would be available for holding a BBQ smashfest?
We need to bring food and supplies here is a basic list of what we need:
Meat-burgers, hotdogs, chicken?
Chips
Drinks- soda
Plates/Napkins/Cups
Condiments- ketchup, mustard, cheese, also maybe seasoning for the meat/burgers
I can buy some meat and or hotdogs, and maybe some sodas. So who else can volunteer to bring stuff?
@moTT, Breakers is fairly fun, I've gone every summer with my job, it's definitley more fun when you don't have to watch 20 children like I do. There's a big wave pool, 5 water slides that I know of but apparently more were just built.
