I'm going to be cautiously optimistic about a Direct. Everyone was sure there would be another Smash Direct in August and there never was, but it makes sense for there to be a Wii U Direct if there's still so much we don't know.

Agreed. I hope my last input didn't give this impression, since I did bring up the fact they were text. As I've said in its favor before, ToS has a lot of little details that could easily kill it, something a faker wouldn't do. I'm not so confident about Mr. Prince, though I can see how those details line up. I do find it ironic though that right now, Mr. Prince has an announcer voice clip directly referencing the mode in his leak - something more tangible than a handful of confirmed stages - and that's the one I'm doubting more.

Actually, I don't think the 3DS version never had a direct about itself, it always shared stuff with the Wii U version in the same directs it's been in. And before the 3DS version was close to release, Wii U dominated the PoTDs.

But you are right that we should get a Wii U Direct.

I think if we were to get a second direct, part of it will be about summarizing the stuff we know about the 3ds, and probably discuss some extra features, when you connect with the WiiU. Whether extra characters are there or not, Sakurai himself has acknowledged that there is something to happen when connecting the 2. And the second part will be going over the new features, like the exclusive mode, (potentially ToS)

Yeah, wasn't denying this possibility. We'll def get loads of Wii U info while bits of 3DS summary if we were to get a Smash Direct soon. This sounds very plausible.

Sakurai mentioned in the April Direct how he would discuss the 3DS and Wii U connectivity at a "later date." Perhaps he will tell us all about the connectivity between the two versions in detail in an upcoming Direct. I think that would be the perfect time to explain it rather than in a PotD.

You know something? I remember him saying that. I am very interested to see what the connectivity can do other than the customizable characters transfer option. I sense a direct coming, but I am not sure when.

Well the transfer characters thing seems to make sense after I thought about this. The Wii U menu mentions transferring custom characters from each version. Now lets say one version has characters you don't have, be they dlc or unlocked? Would they just not let you transfer these over or would it make more sense to unlock them in the other version since you already obtained them in one game? Maybe it's how they plan to do dlc characters, too, so you don't have to buy both? Just a thought.

Hey, it's me, the Tower of Smash Leaker. I forgot my trip, but honestly, I swear it's me.

Just going to say the Tower of Smash Leak is 100% fabricated by me. I did it as a quick joke, but now I see people considering it as real due to the inclusion of SmashVille, Gamer, etc., and wanted to let everyone know it's fake before it spreads even more.

Thank you. Hopefully the rumor about the Wii U - 3DS connectivity is true, as I didn't make that up (except Impa), I based it off a post by a NeoGAF user Spainkiller claiming inside information, who has a past of posting legit insider info.

Besides there is no proof that he is the same guy. This is just another idiot trying to debunk the leak because is in denial or likes to bring ppl's hopes down. Just a troll, that's what he is.

The fact he said he forgot his trip code only tells me he's a naysayer trying to debunk the leak. Every time a leaker tries to justify their claim, its almost allows leads to them being fake.

Plus wasn't the first time someone tried to impersonate a leaker on 4chan. The Sal guy (the one who runs the Gematsu site, with that leaker as his insider) was impersonated on /v/ once claiming fake DLC info.

If this leak was fake and the leaker wanted to end the chaos why couldn't he just wait till the leak decomforms itself via PotD? Also why would you bother putting that much effort into a fake stage list if you're just gonna call it quits the minute a couple of them get confirmed? What were you expecting to happen? What was the end game you were planning? It just makes no sense.

Exactly. That guy from the link is seriously stupid if he thinks we are just gonna believe he is who he says and whatever else he says. Let's move on people. This thread keeps going untill official announcement of any evidence that really debunks it or makes it more real.

I can see where you're coming from there. Why would a leaker say it was all a lie if a couple of things turn out to be true? So, to me, the leak still has a chance to be real.

This is a old leak and I think it's kind of bogus. I don't feel this is any different than other fake leaks.

Anyway, lack of tripcode proves the guy is a bloody fake. Not to say the real leaker couldn't be trolling us, but no tripcode, no dice.
