Why in the hell would you think limiting the flow of information at this stage in the game is a good thing? You limit the discussion to who is scummier out of TWO players. If you **** up and it's TvT, then you really open the door for players to be mislynched for leading a lynch against a townie when they had no option BUT to lynch a townie.
