Not only does Little Mac get 16, but his main alt is . The pink sweatsuit would have been a better option.. We could have gotten a sweatsuit based on Doc Louis but that wasn't what the team went with.
I do hope if we get DLC beyond Mewtwo, the characters with alternate costumes receive their own set of eight instead of having to share eight costumes.
As someone who has had success in a few DLC-less Lunatic runs, I suggest letting Chrom kill as much as he can in Ch1-2, and Robin Ch3 and beyond. Chrom will still be a pivotal member going onward; he will be your strongest unit in Ch5 and 7 against the massive numbers of axe wielders and wyverns.
As for your Silver Lance dilemma, personally I would have suggested giving the bronze sword to Frederick at some point during the first few chapters if Robin is going to be magically-inclined. I also give him my Vulneraries; if he doesn't use them himself, he will be paired up with somebody who does.
My, my....I guess I've never noticed how active the Robin social is. 18 users viewing the thread is nice. Then again, I'm not involved in any other character social to make any comparisons.
I am in the same boat on this as well. Robin seems like a different character when not the default color. Perhaps because the palette swaps are so monotone, or maybe we've been so accustomed to the model from Awakening.
A bit late, but the only socials I see in the activity feeds are this one and the Zelda Social. The Zelda one is a good 91 pages ahead of this one though.
That reminds me: we still need a sacrifice for that Dark Mage triangle attack ritual some of us talked about way back. It was originally supposed to be @The Merc
but he escaped our clutches at the last moment.

I was talking about Robin's customization options in Awakening, though, more than anything else.
The ones in Sm4sh are just there to give more "flavours" to players, anyway, they still retain most characters basic appearance.
I just want to say that all of you people here in the Robin boards are awesome, friendly and overall just super cool people. Time to find some good Grima praising material now.

Grima? Pfft. Child's play to the greater evils out there.
Satan? Meh.
Ganondorf? Don't make me laugh.
Diablo? Hardly a scare.
No, no. There is a far greater evil than those combined. An evil so great, that it cannot be given a name. It does not even have a form for comprehension.
.... Aye. I think I need a long shower and a tall drink.
I have the impression Sakurai wanted to give Robin an actual face and name, therefore, giving him an identity.
He could have just made Robin's alts as the other choices you have to customise your MU, and given him the name "Tactician" or "Avatar", just like he did with Villager.
Instead, he decided to keep Robin's default appearance and name and give him color swaps for alts, like most characters get.
And honestly, for reasons I already stated here, I prefer it this way. Could be just my bias for getting to know Robin via Sm4sh, but I can't perceive "Robin" as "Robin" when I see anything else that's not the default one.
I'm all for more pallete swaps or even alternate costumes, like a Grandmaster costume, though.
I think using the default choices for both genders is the best choice because, despite all the changes you can make, Robin is still his/her own character in the game. It's amusing to talk with some friends about Robin (after the reveal) because they weren't familiar with the defaults and just assumed them to be an avatar character when they really aren't, imo anyways.

A bit late, but i got caught up and didn't respond to everyone I wanted to.
Most importantly, I rudely failed to extend the same hospitality to @FullMoon. I welcome you as well.As someone who has had success in a few DLC-less Lunatic runs, I suggest letting Chrom kill as much as he can in Ch1-2, and Robin Ch3 and beyond. You like pink robin. How shocking.
Oh man I never thought of trading the Bronze Sword.I knew about this option though. I tried everything else(baiting the enemy to to a certain place, pair up bonuses ect..).
Honestly I tried to level up MU and Chrom a bit but I was so afraid that the wave of enemies will kill me (the danger zone was just too great to position them perfectly.
Hey fellow tacticians, I found this picture while looking on Devienart and though I would share it View attachment 44012
They are bit Amibo version of the fighters XD

Yeah, it's funny that Awakening tries to sell you that Robin is an avatar, when it's obvious from the moment you start playing that it's not the case.
They went out of their way to write up all of Robin's dialogues in supports, the only character that can support with everyone in that game, dammit! Avatar characters don't work like that!
He's even stupidly relevant to the plot! A story character of all things!
Either they aren't very good at creating Avatar characters, or Robin was supposed to have his own character from the beggining and they decided to throw out that he's an avatar just to make a callback to the FF7 Tactician or Kris, or even just to jump into the avatar character popularity train that has been going on for some years now, principally in Western games.
In any way, it doesn't matter too much because I got to know a wonderful character that way, so eh.
He always drew such wonderful art of our beloved tactician. And look what became of the poor, undeserving soul of his. Shattered and laid to waste on account of our amusement. We pushed him over the edge and now he's a hollow man that he once was. May he rest in peace wherever his misguided self is at these days...
Too bad I never had the luxury getting drawn by him

I hope we get the level of customization that Kris got; that was one thing I really liked about 12 when I first started. Your background, values, etc. not only established him/her in the world (in it's own unique way that isn't amnesia), but it also affected your character's growths. You could even pick the starting class too, which is awesome.
It doesn't look like it'll be back in 14, but maybe in the next games... Embarrass
