To you all, if you were in Smash Bros, what kind of a style you'd have in your moves or attacks? Note that you can't tell what moves you'll use, but rather, what playstyle or archetype you'd take.

I was watching ADHD playing a custom Villager today at a tournament today. Practically every match went to time or close to it.

Villager's just one of those characters that I try and use at a basic level and I can't even accomplish that.

It's the same deal with Diddy, Sheik, and Ness. And Meta Knight, Snake, and Olimar in Brawl.

Maybe I just have a top-tier curse? :V

I've used Villager for fun.
I don't know how to use him effectively and his play style isn't for me. He was probably my least played character when the Smash 3DS demo first came out.
Still, more power to the people who can use him. Villagers can be scary if played properly. (especially with Counter Timber).

But even so, you have me there. And now that I think of it, I had an ok DDD in Brawl as well, so I guess I do have an exception in each case, lol.

You're not the only one with a top tier curse. I literally cannot play Diddy or Sheik to save my life, but here I am playing low tier Zelda in every Smash game. The only character I've ever played who is considered good is ZSS in Brawl, but she wasn't even top.

I'm hilariously bad with Villager; the event involving all of those coins while using him was a nightmare for me.

From my experience, Villager is all about barraging the opponents with projectiles and traps to the point where their mobility is severely limited, preventing them from doing much anything. He/She accomplishes this primarily through the use of his rockets, slingshots, dash attack, and Counter Timber (if it's used), with a few other attacks and grabs thrown in to mix things up. Villager is great at covering horizontal space and limiting opponents options; he/she starts to falter if the opponent breaks through the wall of attacks and exploits his/her light weight, vulnerable recovery, and more limited vertical options.

The wall Villager can create becomes even harder if you throw exploding balloons to the mix. It's also important to secure the lead as early possible so you force the approach, which the Villager isn't the best at. Outzoning the Villager may also be a viable option. Just saw the campiest custom Villager outzoned. By pikachu no less.

Edit: Maybe for us Robins Speed thunder is preferable in this matchup?

Only top tier character I've ever been any good with before Smash4 is Marth, and N64 Falcon to a lesser extent. Can't play Melee spacies to save my life. I've been doing fairly well with ZSS and Sheik this time around though, but still can't touch any of the other "top" characters like Diddy or Villager.

Other places but in this big obnoxious thing about how there's this ignored post by this poor innocent (HAH!) user that you're pretending doesn't exist. Not here.
