She used to be my least favorite because she was so boring (but she almost redeemed herself in Lon'qu's suports alone), until I got to Walhart's portion of the game.
She's still one of the most boring characters. She's like Spock, but with no Kirk. And that's not much fun.

Actually, since I never said the character had to be playable...

**** this...THING. This useless, annoying, underdeveloped toad of a character.
Why does he exist.
Actually, I found him to be a rather... interesting character...

Excellus: “After I'm done with you, Say'ri, I could be the next princess.”

Aversa: "Men are all the same. Learn their ambition, and you have them by the- Oho... Well, perhaps Excellus was a bit different in that respect..."

Least favorite Fire Emblem Awakening character. I promise not to judge or curse your very existence.
Go.

This motherfiretrucker. This...asshole. This THING.

For context, I PREFER WALMART, GANGREL AND BLOODY AVERSA TO THIS THING.

Except for Vaike.
Also, he reminds me of Starscream for some reason...

Gangrel is the same way.
the difference is Gangrel is actually a good villain
Gangrel- he does stuff for greed and infamy and whatnot. I get that he's psychotic and and bloodthirst and I accept it.

Walhart- does stuff just as bad, but for glory! I just don't get him. He's supposedly noble, but he's a murderous invader. He puts himself up on such a pedestal and I feel like we're supposed to sympathize with him because he's "noble," but he's not! He strives for his ideals, which is fine, but he has no problem with stomping the life out of a bunch of innocents doing so. Gangrel was bloodthirsty and sadistic, so it makes sense that he's a murderer, but Walhart is just annoying. Not to mention, Gangrel discusses various things, but all of Walhart's speeches are about his imaginary idea of power.

Humorously enough, he shares a voice actor with Marth from the anime.

Her son isn't much better, but at least he's nicer. And then I did his Supports with Noire and my thoughts about him have been forever changed (for the worse?).

I just discovered Excellus's VA played Marth once...
Edit: Really? You :4greninja:'d me? Ugh!

He considers StarScreaming at some point. Walhart knows, but keeps him alive because he knows he's nowhere near strong OR smart enough to pull it off.

"Hi! I'm Severa and I love to rush into a room full of enemies"
Hate that mission. HATE IT! ALL OF MY HATE!!!
If I were Robin, I would have had the other future kids tie her up, and we would have ran.
>rescue
>anything that flies
>galeforce
>destroy everything

Honestly I didn't find that mission so hard.

To be fair, the problems with Walhart with is that his section of the game (all of Valm) was the worst part. It was drawn out, boring, and in the end, a pointless waste of time.
If the Valm section of the game was gone or reduced to, like, five chapters, I would've beaten the game many times by now.
As is, I lose interest right after or around the time you beat Fort Steiger.

It's like the Frieza saga in DBZ.

What is Rescue Staff?

Yeah, but if you weren't careful, she could be such a pain. I really like her because she's that annoying girl who does have a soft side. Still, I shouldn't like characters like that, but I love the fact that I fall for her hook-line-and-sinker. Normally, I'd say that characters like her annoy me and that her sadness and niceness was actually just a spoiled front, but IS did such a good job with her that I can't help but feel sorry for her. I hate her for making me feel like this, but I love her for making me me feel like this... did that make sense?

Same. I always had a dedicated team escort Severa and I usually didn't have to resort to the Rescue Staff (on the first playthrough it was hard though). Then, I'd rush a group of two moving units (2 couples) down the main entrance and draw the enemy fire away from Severa and her escort crew (usually I sent Lucina and someone and Morgan and someone).

To be fair, the problems with Walhart with is that his section of the game (all of Valm) was the worst part. It was drawn out, boring, and in the end, a pointless waste of time.

Good points, but I can't say that's why I personally dislike him. True, the Valm section seemed out of place a bit (especially since it was a distraction from the main story), but it did contain some of my favorite levels in the game (Tiki's level, the tree, the volcano, the Walhart castle takeover, the ships)... even if they were just a temporary distraction. I just didn't like the guy :p

I like her to, but that level is a pain in the arse no matter what I do. Severa always somehow gets herself killed in my playthroughs, so I have to start over repeatedly. -_-

Agreed. She's just eye-candy. Yeah, she is a nice person underneath all of her "dark thoughts," but it doesn't make up for her sinisterness (which is a reason that I like Severa- Severa makes me like her, but Tharja just can't seem to). She also seems like an awful match for Robin too.

If I had a dollar for every time someone piped up saying they wanted Tharja in Smash, I would have enough money to pay for the medical bills and medicine for vomiting so many times because someone piped up saying they wanted Tharja in Smash.

Seriously, that **** was worse than the Chrom for Smash supporters who never played a single Fire Emblem game before.

I personally liked the character of Walhart a lot more than Valm.
It was a nice deviation from the last villain.
Gangrel is the power-crazed and sadistic madman.
Walhart is the cruel and cold, but arguably honorable conqueror who will go to any measures to be the strongest.

It's amazing that he's a starting character. It's such an appropriate spot for him. Personally, Marth and Robin would be perfect, since one is the swordsman mascot and the other is the magic user. Lucina is the "stronger swordsman" while Ike is a different type of swordsman. Now that the three starters are who they are, Ike's just a nice bonus character.

Did you guys think that Robin would be unlockable? Who did you think would be the FE starters?
I'm honestly used to the pre-release characters all being starters (aside from the 3rd parties last game), but I got suspicious when it seemed like there were a ton on the starting roster. Oddly enough, most of the characters I thought would be unlockable (Luigi, Shulk, etc.) were not. I did think Robin would be a starter, though.
My situation makes me more excited for the 3DS version- I live 4 hours away from my Wii U and will get a lot of mileage from my 3DS. Still, the Wii U version will be outstanding and I can't wait to play it on holidays.
This is the situation that I'm in, though maybe I can bring a tv and Wii U up to school after the holidays. Still, the 3DS is more convenient for me overall. I've also admittedly been wishing for some sort of portable Smash since the Melee days.
This alt should have been a thing:

Also this:

YES AND YES. A Morgan alt for both genders would have definitely made me main male Robin. I really like male Morgan. And after seeing the trailer, I was a little bummed Robin couldn't keep his/her hood up. It just looks so cool. I'd also love more variety in Robin's colors. They all just have hair that matches the coat except the defaults and that one male Robin one with the black hair.
Honestly the modes in Smash 3DS are far more of a letdown than the roster.
- No Adventure Mode
- Classic Mode taking the gimmick Adventure Mode should've had (branching paths)
- Classic Mode NOT being an Arcade Mode (like in Melee)
- No traditional Target Test
- Smash Run being somewhat disappointing in general
- All-Star being back and LONGER THAN EVER.
- No Events. Would've been perfect for Smash 3DS.
- NO SPECIAL BRAWL. NO SPECIAL BRAWL.

The worst part is, I was really hoping Smash 3DS would have a strong selection of single player modes while the Wii U would have stronger multiplayer modes.
Honestly, I didn't expect as much in terms of modes, but I would have taken an Adventure Mode, target test, events, or even Special Brawl (which I did expect) over Smash Run. Good thing I love Smash's normal old mode and Classic looks fun, but I don't see me doing Smash Run that often.

I'd honestly rather have a Melee-style Adventure Mode with the side-scrolling themed stages. However, I'd love to see more of them to match different series. The Smash Run enemies could have gone there, like the Mario and Zelda enemies in Melee. And the final boss could maybe vary on which series your fighter is from.
Least favorite Fire Emblem Awakening character. I promise not to judge or curse your very existence.
Go.
Excellus or whatever his name is, easily. Just not interesting and not pleasant to look at. He took away time that I would have rather seen dedicated to fleshing out other villains. If only recruitable units count... I'm not sure. I guess Say'ri? I don't hate her, she just stands out to me the least. Walhart was my least favorite, but he grew on me after I recruited him because he's a total tank in battle because I found some of his Barrack dialogue entertaining. Meh as a villain but amusing as an ally.

If we're talking mission-wise, GEROME. I hate "defend the villager" missions, and that was the hardest for me. I finally got it down once I grinded up Cherche and Cordelia, but even then I was worried. Thank goodness for Rescue working on allies. Gangrel's was annoying too, even if I like the character, just because Chrom kept taking him out. Severa's wasn't too hard for me somehow.
I always paired him with Nowi since they both act like little kids :x
Ditto. I love their supports. Ricken is one of my favorites, actually. I can see why others dislike him, though. I find him adorable. I'm just a sucker for Mage/Witch types, though.
Captain Falcon. He'd should be a Spotpass character. Most broken Morgan ever.
I am working on Morgan's supports with Owain and I think he actually references Falcon Punch... Or it's a weird coincidence. ("Flamingo Punch!")

I liked Tharja when I first recruited her, but then I kind of forgot about her... I don't hate her, but she's not one of my top favorites either. In terms of Dark Mages, I MUCH prefer Henry.

Tharja is alright, but as a likable character, she's got nothing on these two

As for my least favorite, Say'ri seems very dull.
