I should be doing some chemistry work, but then THIS started playing, now i'm stuck in a void.
Favorite song in SSB3DS, bar none. My love of Pokémon always seems to triumph, but I just adore every little thing about this remix.
Tharja is alright, but as a likable character, she's got nothing on these two

As for my least favorite, Say'ri seems very dull.
Gaius and Henry are awesome, and have some fun supports. I actually almost killed poor Gaius recruiting him, though. I was dumb and didn't realize he was a recruitable character.
You deserve a quoting medal.
Ooh, where is it?:4iggy:
So... What about favorite Awakening characters?
Too many to name. I'll try and limit it, though.

Sumia's probably my overall favorite just because she reminds me of myself a lot- the clumsy horsewoman. I'm still torn on her vs. Lucina for my male Robin run. Lucina is another I like for both her personality and story. Cynthia is adorable, along with Morgan (male Morgan is right up there with Sumia). Henry is just a hoot. Nah is also sweet, and I just love her design. Same with Laurent on the latter, actually. I already mentioned Ricken. Maribelle wasn't a favorite at first, but she's really grown on me and I'm planning on making her Chrom's wife in my :4robinm: playthrough. Gregor is just so likeable and fun. I'm sure I missed a ton, but those are the big ones. Oh, and of course I adore :4robinf:. She got me to get Awakening, after all.

EDIT: Forgot Lon'qu and Frederick. I like both of them a lot, too. I think that's everyone... I think.

I just imagined :4roy: taking over :roypm:'s life and identity, his friends, wife, and adventures.
All because of THAT wrong adressed Smash Bros. letter.
:4roy:: "Gues what suckas!!!"
:4bowserjr::4larry:: "WHAT??!! NO WAY!!" (Can't post the comic at the moment).

Now i'm depressed. :4roy:
Speaking of BITF.. how'd you like the ending?

I don't really like doing female avatar. She has a lot of really awkward supports.

Yeah, there's something about that part in B&W that, in my opinion, thriumps over all the other story moments in Pokémon.
I mean Team Plasma wasn't that great throughout the story and N was meh, UNTIL this part came, and made me actually feel interested in what was going on.
So naturally i screamed like a fangirl when this stage was announced :4iggy:

Anna should be the main Lord for the next Fire Emblem, with Robin and Lucina riding shotgun. :troll:

Agreed. B/W didn't suck me in as much at first (though I still couldn't put it down because Pokémon), but that entire climax basically made everything up to that point worth it. I wouldn't call B/W my favorite Pokémon game ever (then again, I'm not sure who gets that honor), but that was definitely my favorite moment in the franchise. Even without context, though, that remix is just awesome.

That soundtrack is cool.

But...

I would have much preferred this in the game instead. It's much more uplifting.

Though yes this one could have worked better than the Reshiram/Zekrom battle theme.

When I first did Chapter 6, I thought, "Hmm... that guy looks important." However, Gaius attacked Frederick and he died. I mentioned this to a friend and he said that I could recruit him. ...Oops. Thankfully, I just saved right before starting the Chapter, so I was able to recruit him.

Speaking of BITF.. how'd you like the ending?
It's sad to see it end... but alas, it was a good ending. A great way to end the comic. It also had Shulk in it!!!

So... What about favorite Awakening characters?
I'll mention 5 of my favorite Awakening characters. There are a lot of great ones, but I'll mention the ones that stood out to me the most.
1. Robin: Amazing character. He goes deeper beyond the whole avatar thing. The only thing that makes him an avatar is the fact that he is customizable. Other than that, he is a mysterious and complex character, one that you grow with over time. He's also a bit relatable, especially when you take into account his self-confidence issues that one has mentioned. I also enjoy a great deal of his supports. He can be kind and caring for others or he can be very mischievous and even sarcastic. I also felt bad for Robin for his more personal struggles. He is an amnesiac who doesn't know who he is, where he comes from, what the truth is, or what he is fighting for; the Id songs in particular signify this. He feels serenity when Chrom wakes him up and when he gets married, he feels conflicted in a dilemma after learning the truth from Validar and seeing a second version of himself, he feels sorrow when he has to make a decision that could jeopardize the army or Chrom, and he finally realizes what his purpose is when he confronts an ultimate evil at the end of the game. Along the way, Robin doesn't know who he is and he is just learning to develop himself as a character as the game progresses. As a unit, he is just simply awesome and the sky is the limit with him (except he is limited in some classes, so he can't be a Pegasus Knight and get Galeforce). Honestly, he and some other character I'll get into later are my favorite characters in Awakening. It took a while for me to like him, but now I really enjoy him as a character.

2. Lon'qu: I give him the nickname of the "Crit Guy" because he often got Critical Hits during my adventures. He is an absolutely cool character with some of the best critical hit quotes in the game ("No hard feelings", "I'll make this quick", "How well will you die?", "Be silent"). Not only is he a fantastic unit, but he also has an amazing backstory. When I shipped him with Cordelia, I wondered why he acted strangely around her. Then... I found out about his gynophobia and how he got it. It's absolutely tragic what happened and it still haunts him to this day. I love his supports with Cherche as it gives him a sense of resolve and closure. I also love his supports with Tharja as even when given the option to remove his gynophobia, he knows that he will lose anything that he has learned from it and his experiences.

3. Owain: Owain, Owain, Owain. He is such a goofball and a great writer. It's incredibly hilarious to see how passionate he can get with his writings, such as how he kills Cynthia in one of his stories just so that he can gain strength from it. He also has some of the most hilarious dialogue in the game, such as his supports with Inigo, female Morgan, and Brady for example. Even when he acts goofy, he aims to become a hero, like his mother Lissa and whoever his father is. He's a well-written comedic character.

4. Female Morgan: I gotta say, I loved Morgan the moment I recruited her. Is it because she is powerful? Or is it because the writers did so well to capture the essence of Morgan being your child? She is just so sadistic with her actions, yet she is so innocent, that I can't help but enjoy it. I also admire the fact that she wants to be like Robin and she views him as her idol of sorts. It's just sad to see her memory never return and we never learn what future she came from. Still, this sort of mystery intrigues me. Also, some of her supports are hilarious, like her ones with Owain, Yarne, and Inigo.

[collapse=I'm probably dead to most of you!]5. Tharja: Yeah, I saved her for last and she is tied with Robin as my favorite character in Awakening. When I was planning on getting Awakening, I wanted to have Robin marry her since the very beginning. The results did not disappoint as she is a fantastic and a powerful unit; the pair of Robin and Tharja was pretty damn unstoppable for me. I am on the minor boat when I say that I like her as a character. Yeah, she stalks Robin, but that sort of quality leads to her being loyal to Robin as she would do anything to help or save him. As for her backstory that I've read online, I can't help but feel sympathetic since she has been lonely most of her life; she doesn't even have a single friend and her family is apparently dead. That leads to some character development as it possibly has manifested her more dark, sarcastic side. Yet, there is a "light" that I sense within her, being able to help other members in the army overcome their problems (like Lon'qu's gynophobia or having Gregor talk to his dead brother). I will agree on one thing: She is a terrible mother... I guess she learns to become a better one and starts to love Noire at the end of her supports? It's just a shame that most people just like her for her risqué clothing.

D-don't kill me, please.[/collapse]

Wow... this was a lengthy post!

I like Robin x Lucina the best for multiple reasons.
It's really touching. I can't really explain it, but it's really touching and emotional. I also really like the conversation in chapter 21 if you're married to Lucina (although I do like the "Godspeed, Avatar." if you aren't married to her). It makes it ten times more sad and emotional. Lucina is forced to try kill her husband in order to stop the world from falling into an apocalypse. Also, I have this thing where all of the optional children have to marry another optional child, which means if Lucina doesn't marry Avatar, she stays single and I have to see her heartbreaking credits ending. I just love the thought of Lucina coming back from the future and marrying Avatar.
Also, if you do the Hot Spring DLC with a married Lucina and Robin prior to Chapter 21, that adds a whole new dynamic to the relationship. Spoilers...

In it, Lucina and Robin discuss her commitment to saving the world. It ends with Lucina talking to herself after Robin leaves about how she is so sorry that she'll have to leave him (and kill him I guess), but she won't let anything get in the way of her goal. It's really sad to see her upset and then realize that despite her commitment, she can't bring herself to kill him.

Looking up at Bionis and Mechonis from Viliera Hill utterly gob-smacks every time. How on earth did Monolith Soft manage to do this on the Wii? I'd be hard-pressed to believe this could even be pulled off on the PS3, 360, or PC.

Get these guys on board the SMT X FE development if it's not too late. I want my eyes to flood.

SMT X FE will most likely present a visual novel style, like SMT IV :awesome:

I really want to play it, but I can't justify buying an expensive game when I'm away from home for so long, and when I am home, I've got other games too. Sigh.

I have been watching Chuggaconroy's play-through of it though, and I'm really enjoying it (the poor guy got sick, so I'm holding off on watching other people to support him). The game is quite a looker.

Is this gonna become a thing?
But in all seriousness my favorite would be:
I loved her in Shadow Dragon and I love her even more in Awakening.
And my least favorite is...
She's extremely overrated, not to mention she's also extremely annoying AND has an awful S-Support conversation with Robin, it feels so empty... and stupid.

Wow, it seems you either love or hate Tharja, i think she worked well as a character overall, not in my favorites, but she had her moments.

Pretty much. I liked her, but the problem is that I liked almost everyone else more. She definitely does have her moments though (like her support with Nowi).

Agreed. I wouldn't give up N's Castle, but Vs. Reshiram/Zekrom... Eh. I wasn't even that big a fan of it in the game. I'd rather have the final N battle theme over it.

Also, forgot Tiki. You can add her to my favorites.

I was the same way. I didn't like her, but I didn't hate her, either. She got a chuckle or two out of me, but she wasn't my favorite.

Because not all of it is 3d all the time.

They used a lot of techniques to make the environments of Xenoblade Chronicles look absolutely stunning, though. The techniques can only work for the environments, however, hence why the character graphics are not as strong.

I love Severa. It helps that she can absolutely wreck everyone. This comment about her sums it up well: "Yeah, you're allowed to be a sh** talking b***h when you can literally kill anything that crosses your vision. I hated her too at first until I realized she was one shotting everything except armored units."

Even then, just give her an Armorslayer or a Hammer.

In game she was fantastic, but all her supports were bleh, even being the best character in the game can't make up for the lack of a good personality.

I have mixed feelings on Severa. Her surface personality is decent, though they overdid with her supports. Wish she had some interests to dote on for her supports or something.

I like how they handled the whole inferiority complex and the relationship with her mother. But i guess the fact that they made her a straight up tsundere most of the time makes her somewhat annoying sometimes.

I'm neutral to Severa, but I really like her supports with Cordelia. I haven't gotten far in her father support, but the C one is pretty hilarious too with her playing cutesy to beg. It's a side of her that doesn't show often.

Exactly. She was a well done character, but so over the top that I really didn't want to like her. However, just like her father always would, I kept feeling sorry for her and wanting her to be happy. That's good character writing- when they can make you feel like the other characters in the game with all those conflicting emotions.

Cervantes is cool, but you know who should've been a Spotpass character?

Mustafa.

Rather, there just should've been a way to recruit him during his chapter because I always feel really bad killing him...

I suppose that's kinda the point though
If Mustafa was a Spotpass character, I couldn't see him marrying :4robinf:. He seems like the kind of person who would be a father-figure to her, if he was already on her side.

Likewise with :4robinm:, who I could probably see Mustafa think of as a 'son'.

Great, now I REALLY want Mustafa as a Spotpass character. I'd love a father-figure dynamic between him and either Robin. Honestly, I'd love more non-romantic supports overall. Basilio and Flavia show that they can do a-support only supports with men and women as well. I don't recall Owain having a support with Chrom unless I overlooked something, for instance. Actually, I'd love more supports between gens 1 and 2 overall.
