Did Jigglypuff just randomly die while shielding what was that?
Jigglypuff, since the beginning, dies whenever she breaks her shield.

They used this as a starting signal for the tournament, to give players the opportunity to start with "fair" positioning.

I dislike Tharja because she stole Micaiah's head and put it on her body.

That's not your head, Tharja! Give it back!

Truly, a lot of the female character art for the Awakening DLC is kind of awful IMO.

Ha ha, it's alright. I fixed them for you.

That is perfectly fine. Just make them all in one post. :)

Luckily they saved the best for last. Katarina, now with awesome Tactician's cloak. Seriously, where can I buy one of those cloaks?

Hey guys! Tomorrow night (probably), I'm going to be interviewing Nairo about Robin.

If you have any questions you want me to ask, please post em here!

(Note: Unlike in elementary school, there is such thing as a stupid question. I will not ask irrelevant things like "What's your favorite food?")
Quotey quote. I'm doing this tonight, so if you have questions, get em in!

Hong, your the best man, or ur, woman? I don't and really don't care, however I do have a question about Robin. I heard people say he is slow and really floaty. How slow and floaty is he compared to someone like link and toon link, as I main both of them.

Also regard the conversation about tharja, while I am starting to like the dark mages, I really hate her for some reason, I can't quiet out my finger on it. Hmmm....

I have played hours upon hours of smash in my life, and I never noticed that.

Shows you how rarely shield breaks actually occur.

Ah, 4 player Jigglypuff matches at Temple. Good times. Here's an idea of what they looked like:

Depends what you mean.

Robin has slow movement as her running speed is a little on the sluggish side. That said, her attacks come out reasonably fast enough. She might be slow on the ground, but she has enough speed and aerial momentum from her jumps to pursue an airborne enemy. She is indeed floaty, for better or for worse.

There are rare circumstances of this happening, mostly in the 64 version.

1) Kirby, Samus, and Ness shield breaker combos in 64
2) Marth's actual Shield Breaker
3) Shielding one too many Ganny stomps

You can watch a hundred matches with Jiggs in them, and unless it's the 64 version, you are unlikely to see it happen, so I can't blame you. It almost borders on the lines of an easter egg, in a sense.

I don't know if I have any realy questions. Maybe just about the sword/tome respawn times and what they actually seem to be?

Regeneration Timer:

Thunder: 10 seconds.
Arcfire: 10-11 seconds.
Nosferatu: 40 seconds.
Elwind: 7 seconds.

Levin Sword

You get exactly 8 swings of any Levin Sword move, starts the warning Flash at 6.

I mean is his/her ground movement slow and is he/her float compared to someone like the link's (both adult and tink)

Just wondering because he looks like and interesting character to main, especially that dash attack XD

Well, I figure one good question would be...

Who is Nairo?
Joking aside, I actually have no idea.

Dash speed is approximately Link's.
Airspeed feels close to Toon Link's.

Thanks, that info gives me hope that I can get used to him, seeing as I am pretty good with both version of link in brawl (and melee but that's young link) Thanks again, now it just TIME TO TIP THE SCALE!:awesome:

That Gif would be cool... if it wasn't wrongly transcripted. There is no "E" sound in those runes X) Looks like they mixed up "real" nordic runes with the "false" ones from Lord of the Rings X) We4ll unless its a translation not a transcription.

Or is it behind closed doors and we will know tomorrow?

Such a cute Robin avatar.
Was thinking about switching it up anyways. Back to chibi Robin it is!

Ah, thanks!
In that case: "Do you think that utilizing discarded tomes and Levin Swords well will make a big difference for Robin players?"

I'm fairly certain it does at least a little bit, but doesn't hurt asking a pro when getting the opportunity.

Well...looks like you should NEVER EVER pick Jiggs into Bowser or Marth/Lucina... If you do, failure is thy destiny...

Inversely, utilt to Rest will work on Bowser longer than any other character. What is more is Bowser is one of the most vulnerable characters in the air, where Jigglypuff dominates the competition.

Whoa, your right about jiggs vs Bowser and M/L. I mean, did you see how much shield bowser down b ate out of yoshi's shield at that 3ds tourney (forgot which one)

I also love how off topic this thread can easily get

Thing is, fail to dodge a single Bowser Bomb, and you are dead. Because the Bowser Bomb oneshots shields, just like Marths and Lucinas Shieldbreakers (which are actually a viable move this time around).

"Topic" is not really a thing in social threads.

And all it takes is one missed Bowser Bomb to suffer a Rest, a likely KO at a decent double-digit %.

Bowser Bomb is not only a heavily telegraphed attack, but it's also one of the most punishable. What is more is it only actually breaks the shield when you hit near the dead-centre, enough to get both hits at maximum force. This must be done against Jigglypuff, the character who has the greatest aerial mobility (can move in the air faster than a lot of character can dash), who has little reason to allow anyone to be above her.

Unlikely.:048:

Thing is, unlike other characters Bowser can survive a rest til higher than "decent double-digit %". The tests i saw were with middleweight characters and those die at 60-70%, so bowser will most likely need close to 90% before Rest KO's him... 90% is a LONG time for Bowser to bash Jiggs. Testing on the exact % needs to be done though.

oh i didn't realize, hm. However, I was just think, who do you think might have the upper hand, link/tink or Robin, I think link might but only just because he could just air doge most of Robin's moves and the just zair Robin away if he tries to approach, also link as an indefinite number of projectiles while Robin has to be careful about his. Though if Robin can keep the pressure on link, Robin should be fine. Thoughts

The only topics I see plop up here on a regular basis since the reveal:
a) how awesome Robin is.
b) how awesome it is that Robin is in Smash.
c) how adorable Hong is.

I think Link will be very strong in Smash 4. He can definitely out-spam Robin. No doubt about that.

That said, Arcfire will be GREAT for getting in on him. What is more is Link actually has problems killing in Smash 4, where as Robin does not. Overall, I think it has the potential to be a slow match-up, but I won't say who has the upper-hand. My guess is a 50/50.

Forgot about :4ness:.
Okay but you know who else is awesome that I'm super psyched about being in Smash?

Flying Man the best. Seriously I love him because he's just so bizarre but it seems like that's how a little kid would picture their courage to look.
