No one's found a Tharja trophy yet, so that one was probably removed due to being risque.

Sumia, Nowi, and Cherche should be Wii U trophies though.

Still, Pokemon Trainer's trophy namedrops Ash and Misty, and the Zapdos trophy shouts out to Pokemon 2000, Ash and Misty's movie. I'm satisfied.

"There are few games with as many charming characters as the Rhythm Heaven series. Take those groovy Love Lizards, for example. Birds could learn a thing or two from them. And what about the Chorus Kids? They look adorable with their little bowties, but things get odd when they open their mouths..."

"This pair of adventurers starred in an action game released in 1985. Popo wears blue, and Nana wears red. The goal of their adventure was to reach the top of the mountain, collecting vegetables and defeating animals along the way. Grabbing the condor earned them a nice bonus too!"

Shame they removed Tharja's trophy. I don't like her as a character all that much tbh, but removing her do to risque content seems a little silly.

She should've been wearing a more practical outfit in the first place. :chuckle:

She should have indeed.

(I don't like her anyway.)

I've never gotten the creepy Tharja-loving cult that has grown out of that game. She's a creepy stalker; stop encouraging her!

Still, just like most characters in Awakening, she's actually secretly nice and has her heart in the right place. I don't dislike her, but I don't sympathize with the lusty following that she has. Is it just that she has the nicest bo... uh... darkest thoughts? Real smooth, Treehouse

Yeah, that's definitely why...

I like the new Dark Mage design, thus I like Tharja's design.

Just not Tharja.

Her "superlative" in the Japanese version says that she has the nicest body in the army. The American version instead says that she has the darkest thoughts...

I still can't believe that the boingy-bits DLC somehow got under the radar though.

Not in the European version.

(Then again, we got the uncencored image, so WTH radar?)

Partly due to the international audience being too sensitive.
Partly due to the localization team bearing immense paranoia due to said international audience.

Personally, I would think Nowi is a much more troublesome article than Tharja.

Which explains why there's no trophy of her at all.

(And there was much rejoicing.)

Haha, American version superior. And the censored version makes it look like she's going commando.
And yet, I can't bring myself to care.

We scarcely had people willing to come here and actually have a logical discussion on the matter.

Somehow a vast list of objective facts was considered a sign of delirium.
Tell me about it...

"Hey, the Gematsu leak seems to be outdated!" = "Denial."

"Development never goes according to plan, so anything could change, right?" = "Total bias."

"The leak may not be 100% accurate..." = "Oh, come on. There is absolutely 0% chance that anything on the leak will not happen. The leak is real, stop being foolish and just accept the inevitable already."
God, I hate it when people speak in absolutes...

Just 6 1/2 days of work left till Smash. Then a prolonged weekend to addict through... The days since I started working seem to pass so fast, I can hardly believe the game is just over a week away.

Well, considering that Mario Kart has those nifty DLC packs with a bunch of new content for a very fair price, how big do you guys think those will be for Smash, if you believe Smash will get DLC at all?
I'd imagine each pack would be around 2-3 new characters, a stage (maybe two) and probably a bunch of costumes for existing characters.

Thank goodness I have those like alerts disabled.
Thank goodness you're still around anyways. :3

I dunno, she's the type of person who would abuse her own daughter. She's hot garbage as a person, but funny and her stalking is humorous (as long as you don't take it seriously)

That has been an... interesting aspect about working with localization.

From my perspective with Korean localization, there is a fun complex. A young girl can wear rather provocative and rather unmodest outfit and it will be completely normal. Sure, you know about this one, right? But where it gets eerie is when the adults in a virtual world look increasingly child-like. Pair it up with the tendency for dime-a-dozen Korean MMOs to offer the virtual purchases of skimpy outfits and, well...

Yeah. I'll do my job, but I won't actually play those games. The Elin race from TERA got some international heat, but they are only the tip of the iceberg of the games you can find out there.

While North America is incredibly sensitive and hard to work with, I'll take this over Asia's standards any day.

With how much evidence there was to suggest that who ever leaked to begin with had 0 involvement with the game, it is shameful it was considered valid for as long as it had. Gosh, it's not even like I had to reach to give my reasoning against it.
Thank goodness you're still around anyways. :3
The feeling is mutual, friend. ^~^

Drakonis likes are the best. Embarrass

It being considered valid is one thing; considering how much it had gotten right, it was only natural to think that it must have had some sort of real information. It became an issue was when people started treating it like some absolute truth and rejected any notion that it was anything but. The total rejection of completely real possibilities, no matter how unlikely they appear, is simply foolish.

This is my favorite trophy description...

"Let's squash a misconception right now— there is nothing worse than being turned into an eggplant. Just lettuce tell you, being hit by an eggplant bomb is humiliating. It leafs you without mushroom to maneuver and also makes you the laughing stalk of your friends."

Yes, I'm a big fan of stupid puns.

Apparently the trophy descriptions were written by one of the writers for the Mother series, iirc.
It certainly shows in some places.

Ha ha, I love reading support conversations that Nowi's involved in. So fun/funny.
Especially since Nah is a perfect foil to her.

I married Nowi off to Gregor and then married Morgan to Nah in my :4robinf: file. Morgan and Nah are destructive juggernauts together :3

I must be related to Sakurai- we have the same awful sense of humor!

I wonder how much is different between the bad future Tharja and the present one. The party only meets Tharja in Ch 9, so Emmeryn has already been killed, Chrom has been injured, and the state of the world is quite different. Maybe without the proper guidance of a noble and strong Chrom, Tharja descended deep into darkness and became an abusive mother. However, the Tharja from the current time period seems to be a much better mother who cares deeply about her daughter. Yeah, she still hexes her husband, but by the end of Noire's supports with her mom, she seems to come around and realize the importance of a "healthy" family.

It's one of the reasons I can understand why people really like Tharja. Not because of Sexyiness, but because her character does seem to have a genuine arc where she becomes much more open and helpful to the people around her. Count that alongside her having some of the best supports with characters like Gregor and Lon'qu, and her obsession with the MC is really the only knock I have against her. And even then her support with the MC is probably one of the best.

Umm...
[collapse=Err...]To be honest, I like Tharja. Robin and her are my favorite characters in Awakening.
I'm... just a tad bit embarrassed to say this since I know she is the fan service character and she is highly controversial. Still, I can look past that and like her.
I'm not a part of her "creepy-cult" however. I like the character, but not that much. Also, some of that cult... scares me. *shivers*[/collapse]

But I want Groose to become loose.

No trophy, no sign of him in Smash 3DS, so far so good for DLC.

YesIknowthatextendstoalltheotherSScharactersshutup
I'll be content if Groose was a playable character. He'd probably be one of my mains.

Those are interesting trophy descriptions. Do you mind if you can post the ones for Luigi, Pit, and Dr. Mario?

Anyway, nice trophy descriptions! Maybe Kellam has one, but people haven't found it yet. :p
That's because Kellam is a playable character. What? You didn't see him in Robin's reveal trailer? He's there! You just need to look real hard when the Smash symbol comes up!

*Sigh*

And I bet the selection of FE1-12 trophies are scarce. :tired:
I dunno. I think that we might get some more trophies from Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn on the Wii U version at least. I would be surprised if the trophies from Fire Emblem were all strictly from Awakening.

Her "superlative" in the Japanese version says that she has the nicest body in the army. The American version instead says that she has the darkest thoughts...

I still can't believe that the boingy-bits DLC somehow got under the radar though.
I remember reading that prior to playing Awakening (I saw the conversation on YouTube).
I thought, "Wait, this is from... a Nintendo game?" Seriously, that conversation caught me a bit off guard.

Personally, I would think Nowi is a much more troublesome article than Tharja.
Nowi is a million times more worrying than Tharja tbh
This I can agree on. I don't think that being a 1000 year old character can justify... her design. She looks and even acts like a 10 year old in the game and has, in my opinion, a more controversial design.
I hate Nowi's design. It's... bad in my opinion.

Tharja does have some merits. Her fan service does detract from her personality, however.

A fun match from a Japanese tournament. Discarded tome and Levin Sword put to good use.

Also the whole event is making the ridiculous influence of VI along with the huge blast zones painfully apparent.

Did Jigglypuff just randomly die while shielding what was that?
