Indeed. I loved Miyuki Sawashiro's performance as :4robinf: in Awakening, and I think she did another top-notch job in this game. From what I've heard, she also did one of the voices for :4robinm: in Awakening. To me, she is Robin.

Probably, unless the people spectating will have their say on the matter.

It's notable to me because through years of personal stuff I am exceedingly difficult to break, from anything.

And then a bunch of wonderful images from a game which is one of very few exceptions to the above are posted and I tear up.

That's just me, though.

My yeses x1000 times!
She's such a great voice actress and I'm really happy she reprised her role as Robin, and as usual, she had done a great job as her in Smash Bros.

Robin's EN voice actress is great as well, but I would love to have the option to switch between.

Oh my god Owain clutching Lissa's Heal staff like that.

;A;
Yeah, that one is probably the worst ;-; but the one with Brady kinda makes me feel bad as well, the symbolism of wanting to pursue something but forced to fight against a apocalyptic war.

It bothers me whenever someone is playing the game and they say a character is bad.

Chances are that it's just not a character that suits their play style. Not everyone is supposed to like every single character.

Most of the cast is just about getting in and doing as much damage as possible. Character that focus on projectiles or spacing, or heavyweights, can't always do that. It sucks to see dumb people complain about Robin just because they 100% disregard properly using her spells and just hope to out-muscle them somehow. That goes against everything she is all about.

It's because Owain is such a mamma's boy, but that's not a bad thing. He puts on a courageous front, but in the end, he still dearly loves his mother and needs her affection. He's probably one of the kids who has the best relationships with his mother. Yeah, all of the kids love their mothers, but Owain seems especially close to Lissa.

I made the mistake of reading a fan-fiction about a version when Lucina kills Robin at that crucial scene. To be honest, it was pretty decent writing for fan-fiction. Ugh, at the end, Owain was killed and Lissa kept trying to heal him... that was heartbreaking and this made me think of it again. It's interesting to think of all of the characters as actual people and not just expendable units and realize how awful even a single death must be to them.

Mega Man is the Guile of Smash 4.

I said this a year ago.

And I'm sticking to it now.

If you want a long-ranged spam character to just keep mindlessly chucking **** at the enemy, he's not your boy. Mega Man is all about careful, delicate, meticulous zoning at a mid-range. He can keep a tight area locked down, and punish impatience like there is no tomorrow.

Don't get me wrong, he has his problems. Poor reach in close-quarters, can be subject to spam, half of his moveset can be reflected. That said... he's far from bad.

I swear i'm gonna listen to some Guile's theme/Megaman mashup now.
But seriously, Megaman is the definition of annoying in the right hands. The only move that he has that i think it's really bad is the leaf shield, long recovery, poor damage and knockback and poor shielding utility against smaller projectiles.

The way things are looking, Smash 4's character balance is pretty tight. Everyone has their strengths, yet everyone has weaknesses that have been tailored to be emphasized in Smash 4's physics, mechanics, and blastzone structure. Everyone has a fighting shot.

Except Ganon. Poor Ganon.

I think Ganondorf will be great. While there was a skill-gap, tonight ZeRo beat some Link player in less than 20 seconds.

Right now, the character who impessed me the least is Lucario. Even the best players haven't been able to do much with him, based on what little I have seen. Overall, lacks substance. Poor reach on a lot of his stuff.

It could just be that people don't know how to play him, yet.

Really? Lucario feels like one of the best characters (IMO). His Aura Sphere has been buffed, his Double Team is safer and a solid KO move (think Shulk's Vision), his Extremespeed is great for positioning and recovery, and his Force Palm now projects a small blast forward (that increases with Aura) that he can use for distancing himself from his opponents. His smash attacks quicker and his aerials hit harder (the properties of his Dair were changed though). His throws are still good and he has a fast pummel. Lucario was one of my secondaries in Brawl (he was possibly my second best) and I think that he feels so much better now. I'm not a pro player, nor do I follow them too closely, so I'm shocked that he hasn't had too much notice as he's feeling great.

Also, according to Reddit, 4Chan made a quick tier list and Lucario 16/48, which isn't too shabby (but then again, that's 4Chan, so I don't know what to do with this information).

But Lucario is one of my favorite characters... :crying:

I honestly think a lot of players are playing him wrong.

His range has been reduced on his smashes.. You can't just spam fsmash safely anymore.

His aura is so strong though. His new side b changes (scales with aura) gets pretty ridiculous range once you're past like 90% and looks to be a really strong/safe kill move once you're higher in the %'s.

To play devil's advocate:
A lot of the areas he was "buffed' are less relevant in Smash 4. For example, Force Palm's grab can't be chained anymore. A lot of his attacks are increasingly narrow. Stronger aura? Well, while only Lucario gets boosted damage, everyone gets boosted launch power, now. Aerials, while buffed in impact, their reach is still a bit short.

But again, we're too early in the game to know. Indeed, the people who are the most eager to play Lucario are often trying to play him like they did before. It is 100% possible he can be a high tier character after we figure him out again. It has not even been a month now. A year down the road, it's possible that the characters we think are the best will just be getting shamed.

I will at least agree that Extreme Speed and his throws are great, though, and Aura Sphere charges MAD fast for how powerful it can get due to Aura mechanics. So, in that sense, we're off to a good start.

Yup. I am even willing to buy a "Japanese voices" DLC pack should they release it.

For some reason, this thread is more informative about how Lucario's been improved/nerfed in Smash 4 than the actual Lucario thread.

SUDDENLY NONSPECIFICGUY ALERTS.

Also I wonder how Robin fares against Duck Hunt Dog. May be the only time to use Arcfire 2 so you have something to combat the clay pigeon at neutral and the can as it's being kicked around. Though Arcfire 3 can help when Robin is right there in front of it.

I'm a Lucario main (aside from Robin now), so just throwing my two cents from my experience and knowledge. He's going to change in terms of play style compared to Brawl. His fair set ups were significantly nerfed. At lower percentages Luc has to burn his DJ to get any follow ups off because of the angle it sends at. I'm expecting him to turn into more of a ground fighter now just based on his changes to his range and DT.

Fair was arguably Luc's most important aerial for nair/dair set ups, or just straight up combo-ing into itself. Though now with VI, the "rage" mechanic, and how his aura scales with every single move now, it will require serious lab work to before any consensus can be reached.

Arcfire, Arcfire, and then Arcfire again. Even if it wears out, Duck Hunt is really not a good character at pursuing the enemy, so you have the leisure to wait out a whole 11 seconds until Arcfire is back.

Duck Hunt is going to be a character all about multitasking me thinks. His metagame development will certainly be interesting to say the least.

This thread is basically a dub vs sub argument. It's all preferences.

As far as Awkening is concerned, I am fine with both Japanese and English audios, but generally I prefer Japanese audio/subs in Japanese media.
Also I wonder how Robin fares against Duck Hunt Dog.

I have merged the thread on discussing the prospect of language options into the social thread. Ultimately it's largely system speculation, so it doesn't really work as thread on the Robin forum. You can also profess your love for the voice of Japanese female Robin in the thread discussing gender preference.

Personally, I don't like it at all. I like both of the English voices and the Japanese Robin♂ voice, though.

Tagging @Foosedogg so you know where your thread went.

After reading Hong's post, oh God. I'm just feel like someone just died right in front of my eye's. I reckon as a whole, FE:A's story isn't the best at at certain individual parts, god (Robin's decision at the end of the game). However, in my opinion, nothing can ever beat fi's death in SS. It's just, through the whole game you got this annoying ***** and then suddenly at the final part of the game where it is all celebration galore, Fi tell's you she is going to sleep forever. It just broke my heart, I couldn't stop crying. And that music, that music.

I really liked that picture.
Then it stopped being so wonderfully neutral and showed Chrobin. I don't know why that bothers me with this pic.
Guess I'd have rather seen it stay ambigous so it fits for everybody's game.
Still good though. Just took me out of the moment.

Also I can't be the only one thinking it's a bit too early to discuss balance when most of the world doesn't even have the game yet, can I?
