Only case where I used up all the unit slots was for Apotheosis. It's a fun map. I should consider doing it again sometime.

And like anyone sane, you do it while spamming Rescue :troll:

I misread that as "Fletchling" and was very confused...

I'd totally wear that if it were a costume in XY.

I agree. All the grinding necessary was as bland as expected, but actually doing it was something else. Was extremely fun for me! It was my most tense and enjoyable moment moment in the entire game...
I'm thinking about doing it again for my current Lunatic playthrough... Or maybe for my Lunatic+ 3DS breaking spree playthrough I plan on starting once I'm done with this one.

Hey guys! Tomorrow night (probably), I'm going to be interviewing Nairo about Robin.

If you have any questions you want me to ask, please post em here!

(Note: Unlike in elementary school, there is such thing as a stupid question. I will not ask irrelevant things like "What's your favorite food?")

The one question that matters to me:

How diverse is Robin's combo potential factoring in all of his tools?

Oh, and are you giving names of those who asked questions? It doesn't matter to me otherwise, just curious.

Alright, I don't matter for 10 second fame in an interview anyway.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Oh, that's pretty cool!
If you weren't planning on asking him this already, could you ask what character he thinks Robin will struggle with at this point? Characters he thinks Robin will do well against?

I hope that all of you kids got your permission slips signed, because the bus is about to leave for the feels trip!

I was enjoying it until it hit me about three pictures in that all of these parents were going to die soon. Awakening's story wasn't perfect or especially unique, but the supports with the kids really makes it shine. It's such an interesting premise that all of them lived in a future where humanity was on the verge of extinction and lost their beloved parents, with this loss usually contributing to quirks in their personalities. They have such sad stories but keep on fighting- it's kinda beautiful in a way.

See, the story of Awakening should have prioritized this. :(
That's the one flaw of Fire Emblem. With allies able to die at any moment, the story is only able to focus on those who can't die. That's why supports that are optional are so great, since they essentially are the character growth that you wouldn't get in the main story.

Still, if IS could somehow make a dynamic FE game that incorporates all of the characters into the main plot and accounts for character losses within the story, that would be fantastic. Sure, the dialogue will revolve around the characters that you use the most (some sort of support mechanic I guess), but them each play through would be something different. That'd be a massive undertaking though...

Yes, I would love an audio switch function as well, but in order to not get my hopes crushed, I'm taking the pessimistic view and doubting the feature will be included in Smash 4. I would love to be wrong though.

Where do you come up with this sad stuff...? :(
I frequent public art portals like at least once a day, looking up what has been added to categories that interest me.
That was the line that made me cry in the actual game :c
Yeah. I teared up during "Marth No More".

The English localization made up that whole poetic line for Chrom, though it's nice and gets the idea across, so I don't mind.

Truly a shame. Maybe in the future, you'll be able to prioritize who gets more dialogue in the story.

And if that never becomes a reality, supports do an alright job. I'm still fond of Robin X Panne, primarily because of Yarne and Robin.

I can only cry so many times. :4robinf:
Which is why Severa carries her Levin Sword! But seriously, her Magic stat is awful unless you go way out of your way.

Of course, that's nitpicking just to avoid the tears. That line is one of my favorites from any video game... maybe it's my second favorite... Sorry, but it's not beating out Kairi's letter at the end of Kingdom Hearts II (edit: But I also love Roxas' "You're lucky Sora- it looks like my summer vacation is over" and "Who else will I eat ice cream with?" The power behind both of those lines really makes that poor boy my favorite video game character.)

"What if I'm not worthy of her ideals?"

That line made me tear up. Even though Em's death wasn't planned out the best, the reactions of Chrom, Lissa and Robin got me emotional.

MaskO'Tears.:104:

Indeed. I felt more moved by how the characters I loved responded to Emm's death, than the death itself.

I have expressed my love for the chapter after that multiple times. Speaking of favorites, it's probably my favorite video game level ever for multiple reasons. Let's see if I can dig up my post about it from another thread... Here it is, but since it's a repost, I'll hide it in spoiler brackets.

Ugh! "Don't Speak Her Name!" That's my absolute favorite level in the series... and maybe in any game I've ever played. Something about the music, the loss, the rain, the running thieves, the impending wyvern doom from mountains you really can't get to, and the enemies not even wanting to fight made it so emotional. It literally felt like life and death. That was the turning point for me. I already liked the game a lot, but after this chapter I loved it. I love the quiet part of the song around 3:10 and then the sudden forte dynamic change just blows me out of the water every single time I hear it.

It's sad that Awakening gets blindly slapped with a description of having a "generic story" in some reviews. Yeah, it's not groundbreaking, but the game's heart is in the supports. I've never dabbled with Robin and Panne, but I'll have to check it out. It was one of my brother's favorite pairings because he too loved Yarne.

Sad yes but,

ANYTHING CAN CHANGE!!!

And it does. They conquer their past (Read: Future). They don't put any stock into that destiny hogwash. Which is why while most people say Awakening's story is bad, I say suck it. Just because a story is simple doesn't mean it can't be awesome.

It's sad Shulk's "I'm really feeling it!" line has gotten so much attention and parodies and "Time to tip the scales!" has not.

Where's the image macros with lines like, "Time to tip the waitress!"?
