Honestly, you might not want to look too deep into the myriads of things people have against Zestiria, especially since some of the more technical ones (like unstable framerates) might be fixed in the ps4 or pc version. I (unintentionally) came across them on the interwebs and it honestly kinda killed some of my hype for it. Not too mention the spoilers that come with them. Still gonna get it though it since it's Tales and despite what people say, they still admit to having fun with it.

Oh, and I absolutely agree with everything you said in the spoilers.
I haven't really heard TOO much about technical problems with it. Probably because most of the games problems are overshadowed with the lack-luster story and the well, "promotion" problems they had.I'm not surprised people still have fun with it, I mean as you said it IS Tales Of and it deserves the attention it gets in my opinion. that being said, it's still very underrated, and also needs more attention as a series.

I heard Sword Art Online was trash...anyone care to elaborate why?
I mean I'm predisposed to hate it already because it's anime, but still, some details would be nice...
Arc 1 is decent, the way it's done is generally okay, but the second Arc is... well, it's awful. Things really don't mesh together, to say the least.

It's also kind of cliche to me, at least. Many of the elements feel like things you have seen before. While I don't like it, I'd personally just call it one of the most average animes out there.

I haven't seen it, but from what I've heard the first season is alright but it has a s***** second season. I also heard it's other seasons and arcs are nothing spectacular either. From what I understand, it's like .Hack and Log Horizon, but inferior to both in comparison.

EVERYTHING RIGHT ABOUT SWORD ART ONLINE:

- Good premise for a story
- Self-aware humour that pokes good-natured fun at gamer culture
- Excellent cast of supporting characters
- Decent action sequences

EVERYTHING WRONG ABOUT SWORD ART ONLINE:

- Protagonist is Mary Sue incarnate
- Deuteragonist likewise
- Story focuses on these two characters, to wit, the most dull, undeveloped characters in the entire narrative
- Supporting characters, to wit, the best, most dynamic characters in the entire narrative, never realise their full potential due to the fact that they are, at best, catalysts for the main characters' "development"
- The rich, vibrant world is very seldom explored, despite the promise of adventure and a whole new universe to explore
- Narrative shifts tack halfway to turn into a slice-of-life romance with no rational explanation
- Internal logic is handwaved with the vindication, "He's the hero, he can do this ****"
- Relationship between the main characters is handled like a cheap teenage romance novel
- It does this **** every season

Despite its (myriad) flaws and inability to realise its (massive) potential, I had fun with it. The first half of the first season is good, the second half is dull right up until the last episode, the second season is so-so, then I stopped watching midway through because there are quite frankly better things to do with your free time.

Bad character development, bad overall story, bad execution of the premise, bad pacing, dear lord I could go on. It's literally a cliche love story with a virtual reality MMO as nothing but a backdrop. The whole thing is written terribly and it's only redeeming qualities are the world design (not gonna lie I loved it) and possibly the OST. Even then the negatives outweigh the positives for me.

I'm not even in the same boat as anyone else who says that the SAO arc was good, the ALO arc was ****. Honestly everything after the 2 year timeskip in the SAO arc was bad.

The premise sounded very interesting to me so I went in with high expectations, so to say that I was incredibly disappointed is a large understatement.

OHMYGOD YOUR AVATAR. Freakin' Koujaku, I'm wheezing.

I didn't know you watched/played DRAMAtical Murder~ :halfsheep:

Smh I'm so disappointed and sad that you weren't able to tell that I'm a DMMd fan just by my username. :^( (Koujaku's Ribsteez team, remember?)

But yes I've watched the animu and played the visual novel. I've played like 4 Nitro+CHiRAL visual novels halp

I literally can't believe I overlooked that (DERP), I'm literal trash. But like, wow that is so cool.

AND you've played the 4 "main" ones? Aw yisssss. I've played DRAMAtical Murder, Togainu no Chi and tried to download Lamento but couldn't find the correct patch in order to make the game work efficiently. :halfsheep:

Togainu no Chi I played very recently and it literally ruined my life. Akira is just.. wow. -fans self-

True, but even though I'm not much into anime, I won't deny that there are diamonds in the rough that is the anime industry. There's FMA (it's english dub is godly), Gurren Lagann, AoT ( its more of an unpolished diamond but I like it for its premise and concept. It's overall story, pacing, and characters are kinda meh though), and a couple of others.

Well my Internet's finally back.

Which means I can share this now

By accident I managed to set the HNNNNNNNNNNNG as my desktop background overnight yesterday (before I lost Internet) and it turned out to have a resolution that fit perfectly with my monitor size.

So it's now my desktop background.

Of course there are exceptions. For example I know Full Metal Alchemist is really good.

I want Nowi's dress.

Incidentally, 'cos I just finished rewatching it for the umpteenth time:

EVERYTHING RIGHT ABOUT DARKER THAN BLACK:

- Great setting with a rich atmosphere that just oozes style and tension
- Dynamic, well-developed characters, each with their own distinct motivation and backstory
- Narrative examines every character from their own perspective while never becoming overburdened by content
- Detailed, intricate story with many good characters
- Production values are very good
- Excellent action sequences
- Soundtrack is absolutely outstanding
- Tackles some very important themes without ever becoming didactic

EVERYTHING WRONG ABOUT DARKER THAN BLACK:

- Some stories can carry on for a while before the narrative gets anywhere relevant
- Episodic nature can distract from the overall narrative
- Complex narrative can become convoluted at times
- Second season undermines everything decent in the first season and turns it into a cruel joke

Definitely among my favourite anime of all time. Cool, stylish, creative and just incredibly fun to watch. It's Mission: Impossble meets X-Men - what more need I say? Just steer clear of the godawful second season and we're good to go.

Club Nintendo in Europe is closing soon, and here's what they've got on offer at the moment: http://stars.nintendo-europe.com

I've got 5,850 stars, but I can't decide what I want to buy with them. Most of the games on offer are ones I either already have or aren't interested in (except maybe some of the Wii Sports Club sports). Kind of tempted by the Mario Kart 8 soundtrack, since that game has some amazing music, but then I'm not sure what I'd buy with the leftover credit... Hmm...

As far as I know, only the US Club Nintendo closed in June. Europe's is still open until the 30th of September (and is fully functional until then, unlike the US one which closed down things like registration months before the actual shutdown).

Super Star Saga, F-Zero, Super Mario Land. The wallpapers look nice, but I'm personally a sucker for nice wallpaper. There's the bowling for Wii Spots Club too, which is my personal favorite, along with Tennis. Shame you don't have enough for the relaxation set or the backpack.
Just thought I'd point out what I liked in hopes it helps you decide on something :B

YOU HAD REWARDS THAT WERE MILES BETTER THAN OURS! ;-;
NoA doesn't love us...

I would get one of the trophies, the Majora's Mask lamp, the Captain Toad lamp, or the Mario Kart 8 soundtrack.

Oh my, yes. Welcome to the gay visual novel side, I've been here for quite some time now. There is no escape~

SAME, SAME. I mean I saw an Aoba avatar once here but they changed it immediately afterwards and I was so disappoinTed.

AND YOU COSPLAYED SLY BLUE? THAT IS SO AWESOME. I've always wanted to cosplay Clear because he's the cutest jellyfish boy, but I'm cosplaying Maya Fey in October. (much excite) Maybe I'll cosplay Clear after that.

A+++++++ for gif use. Seriously though, like Akira, he's just too hot. hot damn

Togainu no Chi is even better because Shiki is voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa. :4marth::4marth::4marth:
