Honestly, though, Kotaku is the only site that has confirmed it, and they didn't even show hard proof, like a vid. Not even the FE: Fates E3 site has confirmed anything on that matter.
So, I'm still kind of wishful.

Well I just don't want to see any waterworks and rage in this if two versions get confirmed. I've pretty much steeled myself for the worst case scenario the minute I heard about the two versions in Japan but a lot of other people are naively setting themselves for some big disappointment.

If sounds better than Fates in my opinion. It rolls off the tongue better. Fates has too much consonance.

Does anyone think the voice acting was much worse this time around? It sounds far more cheesy than Awakening's. Chrom's "I will not fail!" sounded epic. Kamui's "I won't surrender!" sounds cringe worthy. Hopefully there will be a voice option that sounds decent.

Actually, Gameinformer just confirmed that there will be two version, too, so eh.

-Planning on Playing the newly named Fire Emblem Fates. Am optimistic.
-Interested in Mario Maker
-Love the look of Wooly World, will play.
-Four Swords isn't my favorite Zelda, but I'm glad it's getting a successor of sorts, and that I can make Link cross-dress. Totes playing Triforce Heroes.
-Hoping Toon Link is playable in the new Hyrule Warriors. Looking forward to it.
-Intrigued by Star Fox Zero thanks to the land/air transformation Ar Wing capabilities, and lack of annoying characters (barring Slippy of course).
-Being cautiously optimistic about the spinoff Metroid. I feel some people are overreacting to it. It can't be as bad as Other M, and the last Metroid Prime Spinoff, Prime Pinball, was awesome (don't deny it)!
-Still don't like how SMTXFE seems to be turning out and am super pessimistic about it.

Pretty meh conference overall, but not terrible.

I do think Fire Emblem If sounds better than Fire Emblem Fates, but I'm pretty sure I'll get used to the new title and I might end up liking it better, who knows.

I'm still a bit curious how SMT x FE will turn out. If there's not a lot of FE stuff going on I might not get it.

Pretty much the same way I feel, except for SMTxFE since I don't have much opinion on it one way or the other. I'm hoping we will see more new characters for Hyrule Warriors Legends (that's a bit of a mouthful).

And the Xenoblade Chronicles X trailer was pretty hype.

I honestly don't see what the issue is with two versions. Considering its only $15 to buy the other version, they would really need to only provide $15 of unique content to be worth it. Since its 5/6 of an entire story campaign that you get when you buy the second version, that's well worth it IMO. Then again, I am accustomed to story DLC being like 3-5 hours of content for $10-15, so this by comparison isn't as bad. Oh, and the base game is only $40 anyways, so still less than a new AAA game on any other system.

In case you didn't know, here is the price break down in Japan (converted into US dollars)

One version - $40
Digital Download of one version if you already own the other - $15
3ed Route DLC - $15

I never really bother to watch E3 but went and found the trailers for Starfox 0 and Fire Emblem Fates/If (ugh 2016 release date) on Youtube since those are up now.....

Starfox 0 looks pretty cool so I might add that to my list of stuff to get for the Wii U when I get that. lol at Peppy doing his "do a barrel roll" line at the end of it.

The FE trailer didn't show us anything new really. Oh well. mKamui's voice is....less than stellar, but not horrendous. But I was gonna play as fKamui though, so I hope that her voice is a bit better.

Asides from a couple of new info, there wasn't anything compelling from Nintendo's Event at all. Thank goodness for Square Enix for partially salvaging Day 2 of E3. Now for my thoughts:

• Muppets were hilariously entertaining; wish I could say the same for the rest of the event
• Okay, so I really don't like how Star Fox Zero uses a similar engine to 64 3D, but all the new vehicles look pretty cool. However, my hype for this game just about died with the confirmation that there's no online multiplayer.
• FE Fates <3. Still look amazing, still disappointed it's not releasing anytime soon. I love the ENG dubs so far, especially Aqua, and seeing Kamui going berserk was so intense!
• Nice to see SMT X FE, didn't really expect it to show up. Chrom looks awesome in his demon form Embarrass
• Also great to see that XCX is getting a release date Now I know when to let my FF XIV subscription expire
• I'm still looking forward to Woolly World, but we've seen enough of it already. And why so late compared to the JP/EU releases? :|
• Everything else was really meh. Now for Square Enix:
• Just Cause 3 is the video game equivalent of Michael Bay movies with all those explosions.
• KINGDOM HEARTS 3!!!!!!
• STAR OCEAN V!!!!!!
• FINAL FANTASY VII!!!!!!
• And Square continues with their massive trolling spree haha

I see problems with it.
Because games are freaking expensive where I live.
I'll have to pay the equivalent to almost $200 if I want everything the game has to offer, and that's not counting amiibo.

and that's not counting the fact I won't even be able to buy the DLC from eShop, because eShop simply won't accept my National credit cards.

The one hope you do have is that there is apparently a bundle in japan that costs the same as if you were to buy 1 version then download the other with the discount. Hopefully the same will be available everywhere else.

It'll be just a huge headache for me in particular, but it's not like I'm not used to it. I still hate the fact that the game is going to be split, but I can see the reasoning behind it.

You have one hope: in japan there is a $70 dollar (equivalent) bundle that has both versions plus the 3ed DLC (when its released). Hopefully everywhere else gets the same option.

This is bad! I'm legitimately worried that Nintendo will see this and say "Oh, I guess the fans DON'T want new Metroid games. Alright boys, put the franchise back in cold storage for another few years!"

I'll admit getting a spin-off before a main series title kind of sucks, and we all want to see Samus return, but Nintendo's probably scared to death of touching the Metroid franchise after Other M. It might not be the Metroid game we wanted, but that doesn't mean we should immediately jump all over it's sh*t and call it garbage. If it's a good game, then I will support it!

My opinion is "meh", since the only Amiibo out of those I own is an $35 Lucina import from japan. (I hope they do a restock of all the Fire Emblem ones when FE:F comes out in the west like they are doing right now in Japan)

I think the biggest reason for all the hate is that they slapped "Metroid Prime" in the title.
