This here thread serves two purposes. First off, it's to officially announce my newly acquired position of maniacal overlord board moderator. Secondly, it's going to serve as your digital suggestions box.

See, I'm a moderator now. Nothing's really different from before, except for the fact that I can actually do things for you now. The biggest complaint we've heard over the past 6 months was that this board had to be 'cleaned up'. Now that you have somebody to do it, what do you want done? If you want to make your suggestion public, then post here; If you don't, then just shoot me a PM. It's my duty (super-official word, but I can't think of a better synonym) to foster community here, and one of the best ways to do that is to, y'know, please the people you're supposed to be watching over. So, yeah, tell me what you want done.

Unless you're an obvious troll, I'll take every suggestion seriously. I promise.

Congrats. Now for some progress.

1) Remove all references to 'Ekans.' The joke is just so old.
2) Unsticky "VR Training: A guide to using Solid Snake *NEW UPDATE*" Link to it instead in a sticky.
3) Merge the Snake important links with the FAQ, and make it the 'One Stop Spot' or something of that nature. Make this a thread that you yourself own, lock the other ones. Include your rule list for the forum.
4) Unsticky and lock the original community chat thread, and start a new one. Have it also include a link to the player finder. Unsticky the player finder, and other 'social' style threads.
5) Create a new thread for videos by a new user account called 'Snake Videos.' The thread will include a password for said account, that way everyone can edit the first thread with their own videos without having to rely on others to do so.

I think that should do for now.

He can set the e-mail to something he has, so he can recover the password. Most individuals are nice though, so I don't see a reason not to try it. Or, we could just give the password to the individuals that are regulars here.

I wouldn't ever make the account completely public. That would just a bad idea. However, giving out the password to the regulars / backroom members would probably work.

Right now, I'm throwing a completely different option at etecoon. So, unless he totally turns that down, the Snake Video account is just an idea for now.

To stress a serious point, though (and this applies to everybody): There need to be open communications between myself and this board, regarding what you'd like done, what you like about my plan, and what you don't. The easiest way to do this is through PM, but public posting works also, I guess. So, yeah, make your opinions known, because I need to be aware of what you do and don't like.

Nobody. It's a bad idea, and it'll take even more traffic away from the threads we already have. If anything, it'll end up as an offshoot of the regular matchup thread.
