This may not be the right forum, but I'm a Samus main and so many people think she's bad. Anyway, my point is that every character can be the best. It's not the character you use, but it's the person who uses them. Samus can be the absolute best assuming the player knows the ins and outs of her. Sure most of her moves don't kill until +150% or so, and a lot of the ones that are KO moves are hard to land, but if someone practices enough and can master them then it doesn't matter what character they're fighting. In the end, it all comes down to who has mastered their character better. I've used Samus since N64 and I was the best out there, but I will still main her and practice all of her moves.

Yeah, and if someone has mastered Samus to the fullest, and someone has mastered Snake to the fullest, the Snake player will win. GG.

Unfortunately if someone has mastered every character and fought a person who had mastered snake, snake would win.

haha how foolish. Samus fails in this game. Thats not to say that some person out there can't beat me with their Samus, they definatedly can. But she is a character at a large disadvantage when playing against high tier characters. That is the reason a lot of people play low tier characters. Nothing feels better than beating a cocky metaknight or snake, who thinks that there character will undoubtedly win since they are high tier, with a Jigglypuff or Captain Falcon. You need to realise that your character may not be as good as other characters, and use that to your advantage. They will likely underestimate you, and thats your time to strike.

"tires arent real it dosnt matter who u use or if items r on if ur good u win"

Maybe you haven't registered the limitations and possibilities of each character yet but they exist and there are those out there who can take advantage of them. If you can enjoy the game at the level of play you're at - where every character has a chance - good for you. Enjoy it. Just keep in mind there are those out there who take their gaming hobby relatively seriously and have gotten a better grasp of the game.

For future reference: if the game is not starcraft, assume it severely lacks balance at higher level play. Not every option is a winning one.

I've used Samus since Smash64's launch too, and I'll most likely stick with her. I won't try to mislead people, though - it's because I'm a fan of the character, not because I believe it'll give me an edge. Sadly, so far it looks like she'll do the opposite. *shrug*

Idk, all tiers are to me is a census of who uses who. Honestly there are different tactics for going against each character... Snake and samus differ so much in terms of playstyle upon one person to another, so..... who is to say what is what.

if you organize the chars into tiers, then logically someone must be at the top. unless there is a group of chars that occupy the top.
i understand what you mean though. with enough skill, you can win with any char. its good to believe that you can win, regardless of the situation. to always look for a way. if you lose, then its your fault and not the char. you can change, whereas the game cannot. never hopeless... and so on and so forth
the only thing i can add is that the compliment of putting forth all your effort to solve a problem is rest. spending some time away from a problem can be just as effective as scalding it with your focus. this from a guy who once spent 7 hours relentlessly trying to beat undr (i meant to leave after the first 3 or 4) and still ended the day a failure... well, at least once. USUALLY its best not to get fanatical with your concerns

truth be told though, The tier list in Brawl is NOT going to be as important as it was in Melee simply because there are so many characters that are good that are just not as popular. Look at how many MK's you see in tourneys as opposed to Diddy, Zelda, ZSS, and a bunch of others. This is going to mean that MK and other populars like Snake have a higher chance of making top tier even though there are characters that **** them.

Gum if it went by popularity IC's wouldn't have been ranked as high as they were in Melee. You're looking at it backwards - better characters (who are put higher on the tier list) are more popular because they are better. Tiers will make just as much of a difference here.

Tiers in Melee were done more by potential then anything else. Anyway, we don't need more Tires Don Exits threads, particularly in the chaotic Character Specific Forums.

Post your thoughts in the Official Tier Discussion sticky in the Brawl Tactical Board.

And by the way, Snake isn't as good as MK.
