Also WELCOME to the crew RYKO. today is sunday and it's mad early but ima hit you up later if you wanna LAN because i got off of work today. Oh yea and Munk i told you once already next time we host a tournament we'll set up everything earlier and on top of that YOU and RJ will be the TOURNY HOSTS. when we HOST a tourny and do all the work to get it out there it's gonna be done the CORRECT way. And ya'll remember what i spoke to ya'll about in the lounge, i dead serious too, i don't play that sh?t for real. But overall the tourny turned out good/ not great. I'm pissed. Apparently I play worse under pressure. I ***** in every friendly I took part in while I was there, and placed horrible in the tourny.

I'm pissed i flat out suck in winner's bracket. I don't think i've made it past 2nd winner's round in any double elim tourny. Umbra you just need to learn under pressure don't think about the consequences of losing think about the benefits of victory. Its like if your playing a money match don't think "O **** if i screw up i'm out X dollars" you have to think "When i win what am i going to spend X dollars on?"

Munk speaks truth, can't psych yourself out. I dunno what it was but in my sets yesterday I played more intelligently than I normally do, maybe I'm starting to take the tourney mindset and using it to my advantage.

na, it's more like, I start thinking too much and stop reacting. I start trying to pull up things like how big is Pit's Fair hitbox, can I throw this safely now? Etc. Not so much risk vs reward through winning and losing. I know I have a chance of winning or losing my cash, so it's w/e after I enter the tourny.

I feel you. You try and use everything you know, instead of playing how you play, and it messes with your head. It comes at you, because you need the reliable knowledge to deal with unfamiliar match-up exp. Your style hinders you in that regard, but you'll break it. PRACTICE MORE! I'm WAY over that problem.

Thursday Rookie and I are hitting joisey for some practice, you guys gotta give me a ton of power shield and matchup stuff to work on. Marth might be my secondary and will need practice but bottom line is that ike's staying my main. When I finally know there is something I can't overcome with developing solid play/defense then I'll move on.

Marth might be my secondary and will need practice but bottom line is that ike's staying my main. When I finally know there is something I can't overcome with developing solid play/defense then I'll move on.

Play donovan for 30 minutes. Out of sheer desperation you will powershield 80% of any projectile from now on (- falco's lazers for some reason)

QFT. It'll help you learn how to advance with powershielding too. People do panic when they see their projectiles clanking harmlessly off the powershield and a guy with a sword (a huge one in Ike's case) is coming towards them.

Munk, can I join your crew. Most of your crew has seen what I can do. I main the Ice Climbers and second Game and Watch, Pit, Snake, and Mario in that order. I can play a variety of characters pretty well too.

My friend Greg wants to join too. I'm not sure what he goes by on smashboards, but his gamertag is ZOD. He mains Toon Link and seconds Peach, Pikachu, and Ike. He aspires to main Random sometime soon. He goes to school in Rochester and is there now, but Dan and I have seen him play and he's pretty good. He's going to the weeklies up there.

I'm leaving for school this Thursday, and am probably not going to enter a tournament until Clash of Titans III (or SatS 2).

Wow, you're slacking. I almost perfectly powershield a barrage of grounded lazers now. They're easy to time, since you can't stall them like arrows.

You've dramatically increased in performance from when I first played you. I don't know if I inspired you to get better, or if you learned from your mistakes against me, or maybe if I just think that because you know what I might do, so you have match-up experience, but if you are really as good as I think you now are, I can see you getting into the crew. I will say though that Greg will need more practice and experience. He's welcome to come play with me, to learn and get better, but no slandering intended, he's clearly not yet on Zodiac Braves level.
As for you, next time ZB has a crew meeting (which looks like it might be this Thursday, come through (I'll let you know). Based on your performance, Munk and I will decide whether or not you're ready. We do need to see how you perform against other people. I know only how you fight against me.

Leaving for school doesn't really matter all that much IMO. I mean, it simply means that you won't be actively participating in events during most of the year, but as long as you maintain your skill (and elevate your skill for that matter) while you're away, and can represent the name Zodiac Braves without embarrassing us, I don't see how being in college should be an issue. However, the rest of the crew may feel different. I'll talk it over with them.

I agree that FFA doesn't show my skill at all. I say that for a few reasons.

1. I had controller johns due to trying to figure out how to jump almost that whole time and...

2. Ice Climbers aren't good in FFA. They get seperated too easily.

Darn... I leave Thursday morning. But as for how legit I am, I beat 4Fit's Falco twice with my Ice Climbers (the second match he nearly three stocked me, but I came back to win), beat Ryko 2 out of 3 times, and Velocity 2 out of three times (I know he's not in the crew but...)

I lost to Umbra in tourney, Wind in a close match. But I do have to face a few more people in the crew to see where and if I fit.

Rookie, do you have the replay of Jigglymaster's down air stage spike on Thiocyanide? I think Jigglymaster wants to upload that match onto Youtube.

Check it out. I picked random the second time, and for some odd reason it came out as Ice Climbers (default colors though.) and he did 1 grab 1 stock on me the first time without me touching him, because I was sitting there trying to figure out how to use Nana to hit his Falco out of the throw. Nana just got hit every time by the throw so I got killed...

My second stock was pretty much the same thing...Except this time I managed to get Nana to hit his Falco out of the chain throw by using squall hammer. Except I spammed it. I was mad close to the edge and fell like a rock.

My third stock I got him back with a chain throw of my own and took out his first stock. The second stock I don't remember how I killed him but it was probably a foward throw to foward air spike at the edge.

His third stock he killed my Nana, so I was SoPo for almost his whole last stock.

Wind watched me face 4fit, but I don't think anyone watched me face Ryko.

But I do understand the skepticism and I wish I had a better way to prove myself.

QFT. Our whole Pit match on Halberd was basically do up-airs through the lower part of the ship (and we both almost got sniped out of WoI.

On the ship it was arrow camp. My shield's super armor ate one of his arrows.

I sniped him off stage. He sniped me when I tried to hit him out of it. Pit dittos are probably the best dittos.

You know the deal with that son lmao. But you should be up by the time me and rikeo get there because 7D told me to be there no earlier than 12 so that's what ima do. Me and rikeo got our transportation times/meet up spots set already so everything is a go.

Ight no doubt. I really hope 7D and Me can really create a good team together considering we are both really good players and a Marth/Fox team is ****. I just need to learn how to look at Brawl in a team persepctive. I find it hard because im too used to doing everything by myself (singles). As you can see i got top 7 and i did that by MYSELF so to play teams i need EXTRA work on that. I feel like "The Staten Island Bros." lmao are one of the best teams to practice against so hopefully we can practice teams together sometime...I HOPE.
