its not like I play mindlessly with other characters lol I try pretty hard with all my characters since ive first started playing smash

just because I dont main them or you think I cant give proper advice is lame excuse to keep me off

WC people cant really post results since we never upload **** but the whole e4s series(except for champion) I went a good amount of link placing top 4 or 5 at each one I mean I dont go solo any character(sep for mk) because thats just me. idk what im getting at.

anyway I do use link often in tourny and in friendlies and even in MMs I lost 2-1 to vato's mario last stock game 3 and i think i went 2-1 with zig's jiggs idr
my link is prolly more active than blubba's link since all hes done is gone to apex and beat a random mk

blubba should be on that list permanently or at least hall of famed for being banned from his regions tournies for bossin hard with link

btw why is Ninja the Link Sage not a Top 5 link candidate anymore? did he quit?

tearbear i would <3 u forever if you went solo link at one tourney and uploaded vids and results

someone on the WC should just man up and start posting results of the WC tournaments....like just get the bracket and write out the results...ask the TO to email the results if you have to.

i think they get uploaded onto aib but yeah

and socal is too hard to go all solo link
if I lived in blubba's region then yeah id go all link

You should at LEAST ALT the character...but it sounds like you are. Try and post those results because if you really did that, you probably belong.

Smash Hall of Fame would be cool. He'd definitely belong. Maybe a first ballot next to M2K for getting an entire character banned.

Going Solo Link is so hard, I've tried. Spacies/Sonic/D3/Sheik, owch.

for that whole ranking period I would choose 3 chars, one high, one mid, and one low and go them the whole time

but when skyward sword came out I was all over link

also i just beat keeby on ladder with wolf

...Yes. I have seen gnes' Toon Link and it is ****ing ****. And he HAS been using it in tourney. Unless it's a national, I'd say there's just as good a chance or better that you play vs his toon link as there is him going diddy.

gnes should probably be 3-4 on the toon link list imo.

then all we're missing is someone from the WC (well preferably WC since they'll actually be able to answer questions about the tournament and stuff) just copying and pasting these results? Seriously, how lazy is the WC?

we're pretty lazy
our live stream quality is meh
we mainly do house tournys still too(which isnt bad)

I mean I thought about posting fun facts about tournys and interesting stuff like upsets and what not but then I took an arrow to the knee

maybe I will now since I plan on keeping track of my results now nyways
I kinda have been throwing wins that socal people have but just not the results but Ill try to help out with that now

like pitbull has been doing really well I think he should move up in lucario. hes recently been placing consistently in top 7 and has beaten havok and vato and a couple other notable players in socal and only has few bad loses

Oh, damn. Who has them, I'll find out what thread they frequent and bug them instead.

@Tearbear: That AIB link thing is pretty cool, it has everything you would need the majority of the time...except it doesn't solve any of our problems here, it doesn't list what characters were used.

from what i've seen tearbear has used link, ganon, lucas the most earlier in bracket. later on in bracket tearbear ***** people with olimar/rob or something like that

we dont do that except for big tournys but ill try in the near future for tournys coming up.
all we have is vids of the people who make it the farthest in tourny atm

also I can have people vouch for my link like zigsta and delux since they arnt from socal

@vato that and even then Ive still used link against havok and mike and larry late in bracket

So, how about that top Luigi list?

Biglou can probably drop since he's been going Diddy IIRC.
If Boss has dropped for Mario, you could probably drop him for Luigi too

YoshQ has been pretty consistent and mrconcon has been putting in work in Socal

BigLou should technically be off, but he says he's going to start going Luigi again (though at this point and time that fact is irrelevant) so either a drop or a removal is fine IMO. Scatt also has been pretty inactive (he's popped into a few tournaments every now and then, but doesn't even go luigi from what I've seen).

Luigi list:
1. YoshQ
2. Mr. ConCon
3. Jband (he still active?)
4. BigLou/Boss
5. BigLou/Boss/Player-3

I'll nominate Player-3 just since Luigi list is so dead that I think even just one notable win could get you on it. P3 went all luigi in pools at this AL tournament, and beat DRN's Falco game 3 in bracket (he beat DRN's ZSS with Fox game 1, lost to his Falco game 2 with Fox, and CPed Luigi and won, DRN's Falco is pretty good btw, he has a lot of tournament viable characters) and plans on using him even more.

That looks like a solid Luigi list

Idk about the bottom, but the top 3 atm look good. I believe Jband is still active with :luigi2:

Terry does have a legit Link. He beat my Jiggs 2-1 in a MM in Nov I think. I've also seen him go Link against people in tournament.

I haven't played other top Links currently listed. And while at nationals, Terry goes just about all MK, he does have legit characters that take sets off people in SoCal. Link is one of them.

IMO ALSM is better. I know he requested to be moved off, but maybe that comparison helps people more familiar with the Link scene.

Alright thanks for the input.

ALSM would be on if he mained the character again most likely. But same reason as why Legan dropped is all.

I love you too. Sadly non of my opinions have been "baseless" as I always provide at least a small fact ;).

Zelda's should do that on their own its not my job to dig through everyone's results =__=. If I owned this thread then I would be willing to do such for every character.

Zhao should definitely be on the luigi list. His luigi is solid.
He also as pretty good results in our region. But there's a tournament this Saturday that he's going to, so I'd say wait until those results are posted
