Plus this makes it less like Meleeeeeee (in some ways)

i know why it has auto l cancelling dude, because manual doesn't work. my point is that landing lag is better than auto l cancelling. with auto l cancelling you can do whatever you want without getting punished very easily. at least in brawl you have to use the ones that wont get you punished.

im also not saying that Brawl+ should be melee #2, im just saying it's overhyped and completely broken. Fun? you bet. but i wont spend my time playing it.

But the point was to make the game faster, Auto L canceling does that. And the completely unpunished thing is bs. People can get punished for missing an aerial even if they do L cancel in Melee, the whole game sped up so not only is lag reduced, but the punishment speed. It also opens a diversity of air game, Bowser can approach with Dair now, so can Snake. Ganon's fair is a tad better, Falcon can use a knee to approach.

It's not completely broken either, it's being constantly updated and patched so anything broken is fixed.

thank you masky. hitstun and l canceling were not in mind when the movesets for Brawl's characters were designed. they become overpowered and stupid. they're going to have to change all of that stuff for it to be not-broken, and by that point it wont even be Brawl+ anymore, it'll be some other game.

Dude wtf, was L canceling in mind for Melee movesets? 7 frames on lag on Fox nair wat? Link's Nair having a hitbox AFTER his leg is down? And what moves ARE broken in Brawl + then?

yes, L canceling was in mind for melee. Sakurai himself stated in an interview that wavedashing and L canceling were planned techniques. just like z canceling in 64.

Yes I know that, but that wasn't your argument. Were the movesets in mind for L canceling?

Wavedashing Was NOT a planned technique.

L-cancelling is infact a side effect of a defense mechanism. So you can pull up your shield faster after you land an aerial. But since the shield button happen to cut lag in half to put up the shield faster. You could just let go before It even comes out and continue on with a different move. So the defense thing was exploited to be a offensive pressure combination.

Show me where sakurai said he planned wavedashing and l-cancelling(as a offensive strategy).

I mostly want to jsut see the wavedashing thing. L-canceling is obviously an intentional thing. although I don't think it was intentionally used for offensive measures. Defensive ones.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

When I said brawl+ was good, I was referring to how fun it was to play with my friend this week while we wait for a copy of melee to show up since we both forgot ours at college. I'm not calling it a competitive game for tournaments or anything.

To tell the truth, even Brawl is a better competitive game than Brawl+ right now, and that says something. That doesn't mean you should deny yourself the chance to enjoy it, however. That **** is fun!
