Will do Pitzer! I wanna get all the practice I can against MK, especially since most people use him in tournaments. Fox tips would be greatly appreciated!

Just depends on comfort and character knowledge =/ ROB's a bigger nado target while Fox is easier to gimp. ROB can zone MK better imo but Fox can kill him quicker

I say Fox but its hard to explain past what Slash said. Only difference being I don't think either can really zone MK, but both can play keepaway with projectiles in thier own way

Hey I went from getting 9th for a couple straight tournies to actually getting 7th. I'm moving on up slowly.

I mean its a big deal that these tournies are being held on a sunday, idk if you guys know But I have church that day. So it relatively hard for me to even go to those. Plus even if I do get honorable mention i dont care since you guys dont include out of sova tournies. So honestly idc at this time. If these where on Fridays saturdays id be there but sundays are really messing me up.

Maybe I could start a Bi-Weekly tournament on Fri or Sat? Plus I'm a graphics artist so I could make some pretty tight flyers. Only issue is I wouldn't want to mess up what H4X has going on. Then again I could make it every other week from his?

We could try that lol, Also to answer your question about who to use vs Mk fox or rob? Well to tell you the truth I have more experience against fox rather than rob , but it doesn't mean I cant lrn that match-up.
Rob is a big nado target but he can out prioritize alot of moves mk has. Fox can camp mk and can force an air release to up-smash, but when fox is off the stage it rather hard to get back on. Nado Eats thru Side-B, Plus Dairs and nairs **** fox off stage. Rob is also a victim of Shield Stabbing as his shield is like kirbys. So tbh i think fox vs mk is like 50-50 and rob vs mk is 60-40 55-45 Mk's favor obv.

Yeah, thats what the fox vs mk thread pointed out. I also read to avoid being gimped off the edge, use the Up-B rather than the Side-B. Apparently the Up-B hits through mk's nado.
I'll have to read up more on it.
If I get enough positive responses about the Bi-Weeklies, I'll be more than willing to start one up. I'm sure Slash wouldn't mind being part of that as well.

I wouldn't mind if the bi-weeklies were on a Saturday as well, as I also have Church on Sunday. I was almost late to the last one because I have to get home from Church which takes about 20 minutes, change and grab my controller, then head out to the tourney which is 40-50 minutes away depending on the route I take. Changing the day of the tourney or maybe pushing the start time back (an hour?) could be a good idea. In my honest opinion Saturday seems like the best day for tournaments. Is there any specific reason why it is Sundays instead of Saturdays?
Pushing the start time an hour back would be a bad idea. We have been doing great on time lately, but I don't think we should push our luck if the venue closes around 8. I don't know if we can move tournies to saturdays or what the deal with the venue is, but as long as its not friday im ok. It sucks that sunday is hard on you two,

If people are beating you here, who is to say that they will not do just as well as you do against OoS (NoVA included). Its just not fair to those who can't go OoS. Now if you beat or lose to a SoVA person outside of SoVA that will be counted, but next to that it is just too hard to measure on the PR.
Lets say you beat Mike Haze at MLG. Then you come to a local and lose to Mashi. Its great that you beat Mike but it doesn't make sense to say "he beat Mike Haze so he should be higher" if you still lose to the same people in SoVA when you return to local tournies. Most of SoVA doesn't go OoS either so who is to day who the could/could not beat? If you have some tangable, non-bias way of including OoS things, by all means speak up.

the reason why saturday is a no go for tower is because the magic tcg people reserve the tables outside for tournies and the inside game room usually booked for birthdays (like that one time it conflicted with our tod tourney on sunday where we moved to the outside) and lastly we cannot host one inside the game room anymore because the owner said it was a fire hazard. i don't know anything about friday though.

I think everyone else is just free sundays and that is the day DooM organized with the Tower Games owner. I know Famous mentioned its also harder for most to get Fri/Saturday off at work especially now that the holidays have begun.
Where do you plan on hosting this at? The biggest issue we've had for setting up tourneys is that we struggle finding good venues.

Finding a venue would be the only issue. I didn't say it'd be easy, just that i'd be more than willing.
