Is there any reason for us to move all discussion of Snake to the DLC discussion thread? Who's to say that he'll be DLC, in fact, who's to say there there will even BE DLC? To me DLC for Super Smash Bros. 4 would only be done for veteran fighters that Sakurai and his team didn't have the time to implement before release, and even then it would be a last minute resort. After all, Sakurai never did DLC for Kid Icarus: Uprising even though he very well could have.
Anyways, I just came here to reiterate my point that I believe Snake will be in the game ultimately, DLC or not. Sakurai showing Mario, Sonic, Megaman, and Pac-Man together so fervently doesn't disprove the idea of Snake's inclusion to me, honestly. If he were to make it into the game I'm sure Sakurai would talk a lot about how it would be possible to have a four-player match without any Nintendo characters and have all of the fighters in said match be different. If Kojima had so desperately wanted Sakurai to include Snake in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, why would he have no reason to want him in Super Smash Bros. 4? He'll likely be revealed in an August Nintendo Direct, though whether this will be Super Smash Bros. centric or not I can't say for sure. However, that's pretty much his last chance to be confirmed before the 3DS version's release, if he doesn't show up there he's gone.
