To be fair they are both from Unova technically. Must be something in the water. lolI didn’t expect this interaction either in Pokemon Masters:
New mode is cool but also kind of sucks. If you don’t summon for the new sync pairs, it makes it pretty hard to build the free one you get in this mode. Which is a shame because they give you a lot of options to customize their grid.
Let us see if that’ll change after Wednesday’s Direct.more soundtrack drops than new games
I had so many ideas for this premise though a lot of them consist of big cinematic set pieces set to remixes like theseI'm seeing a lot of people float around the idea of a Mario & Donkey Kong 3D platform. So not just a new Mario or a new Donkey Kong, but the two teaming up to take down a bigger threat. Or perhaps a standard 3D Mario game, but DK plays a big role as a supporting character.
Initially I thought it sounded pretty weird, but I'm seeing a LOT of people who'd like to see that. Especially after their frenemies dynamic in the movie.
How would YOU feel about a game like that?
Save your 15-paragraph rantSnakeFighter64 I already know you'd hate it

If this is an April Fools prank I am going to become the JokerBeyond the Spider-Verse drops June 4th, 2027
DetailsThe first footage from ‘BEYOND THE SOIDER-VERSE’ reveals Miles & Gwen reuniting + Miles fighting The Prowler before going on an adventure with him.
The animation style had some innovative new techniques too.
Phill Lord says ‘BEYOND THE SPIDER-VERSE’ is “bigger than the past two” films.
Also states the film starts right where the last film ended…
Described as a MASSIVE finale…
thankfully America and CinemaCon are both still in March, so these are all legit…and honestly the long wait will be worth it yet againIf this is an April Fools prank I am going to become the Joker
Now they gotta add Thanos and She-Hulk so they can do a twerk-off eventTwerking Venom obtained
and since I technically got it before April Fools, It's canon

There’s also going to be a new song soon featuring Miku and Teto.

Honestly some great feedback for the event. I think a good start would be if the unit has no moves and we get a tm orb to start each run. Allowing us to choose a move that does damage out of the gate and unlocking the rest and other paths from there. To be fair they are both from Unova technically. Must be something in the water. lol
But yeah, the new event/mode sucks. It's a real shame as it's obvious they put a lot of effort into it and I think most don't exactly hate the idea, but in execution they dropped the ball.
While some of the battles are technically RNG, the game doesn't reward you for changing your team comp and kind of punishes you for not having the new highlight units you have to scout for given how much of a boost they provide to the end of battle rewards you receive. The Mid/Final Bosses of a run also don't change, so there again isn't much of an incentive to change strategy.
The rewards themselves aren't much to scoff at either. Rosa is adorable and having a custom kit is amusing on paper but she somehow is both more and less customizable than every other unit in the game except for Jessie/James and the Eggmons:
1. Even if you max her HP/Def/Sp Def out, she's still among the frailest units in the game even if Eggmons are factored in. She has cool stuff in her kit, but unless you have a Max Tank unit, it's hard for her to last all that long to actually use the cool stuff.
2. Her default Move is Energy Ball, so it's kind of dead weight if choose to go with a physical move set. Which sucks as Bullet Seed is almost guranteed flinch, which can cheese a lot of battles.
3. Unlike every other unit, you can only have a single kit at a time that once created and it cannot be edited or re-arranged. The only way you can change her kit is by getting lucky with the mode's RNG so that you get the same resources you had before and are okay with deleting the prior kit. The event/mode has not yet been confirmed to be a permanent mode either, so if the event ends, you potentially end up with a "custom" unit that has less customization options than other units.
To even play the mode, you have to also use limited Stamina. If you somehow fail at the Mid/Final Bosses, you don't get any retries and don't get any rewards. You also don't get any rewards to use on other units besides Rosa either. It takes 5 full runs to obtain all of the non-RNG rewards for Rosa, but given all of the other issues with the mode, it just turns into a grindfest at best and takes away Stamina from other more useful areas of the game. This mode doesn't feel like it's made for either veteran or newcoming players.
If they want to fix this mode:
1. Allow for more than one custom grid that you can freely switch between. Or allow for us to reallocate resources while still being limited to the resources that were obtained.
2. Get rid of Stamina or at least get rid of it for subsequent runs.
3. Change up the Mid/Final Bosses so it's not the same unit each time. Offer a reason to play with a different moveset.
4. Increase the base defensive stats of the unit. They should be at least 1.5x the current max base with EX Role unlocked; so 82 to 123.
5. If you want to offer extra boosts for featured units that's fine, but do offer more for other units or make it based off of the battle you're facing (train us how to make effective teams) or have the units on your team for that battle offer rewards beyond a simple mulitplier. Ex. Having a Support on your team boosts Blue (Base Stat) Grid Orbs or a Stike boosts Red (Attacking) Grid Orbs.
DENA has been good about fan feedback, at least generally compared to a lot of companies such as Niantic/Pokemon Go, but it does bug me that they thought releasing this mode in this state, especially after having already delivered on a great Rougelike mode with Battle Rally, was a good idea. The Prestige Event from years back still stands as their most anti-F2P moment, so by comparison this stands as their dumbest moment IMO.
Hotel MarioCounting down every Hotel Mario game until the Switch 2 direct
Day 1: Hotel Mario
Peak. Absolute peak.
I agree as well. Having Dire Hit on her grid felt pointless as both Attack/Spe Attack offered Crit Boosts. That could have easily been reserved for an Energy Ball upgrade path instead.Honestly some great feedback for the event. I think a good start would be if the unit has no moves and we get a tm orb to start each run. Allowing us to choose a move that does damage out of the gate and unlocking the rest and other paths from there.
Removing stamina would be a plus, or if we are going to be forced to use it, maybe let us add to grids each run instead of resetting.
Or more stages maybe to do a better grind for orbs.
I really hope they lower the cost of then HP and defensive stats or Buff the actual unit stats like you mentioned.
Not much of a point to building the unit if their stats suck first and foremost. Hopefully they get good in game feedback and improve this mode from here.
also it’s not permanent. The event says it ends like April 19th I believe. Which means if you get a bad unit out of it, the event sucks for you lol. I hope we get more gens too. As getting A rank does nothing right now.
The Switch 2 Direct is 60 minutes long.
The Switch 2 Direct will be roughly an hour.
