Is it weird to say the main reason I plan to pick up Pokemon Scarlet is because my bf is interested in picking up Pokemon Violet?

Quick question, how well would Scarlet/Violet run on a first edition switch? Is physical or digital better performance wise?
Basically all the people who I go to weekly brackets bought with really enjoy the game (most people bought violet), and I am very fond of monster tamers in general, but I have no idea if the game would run on my older switch.

I have a gen one switch it runs pretty fine for me (at least about the same)

I’m not sure about first edition switches, but in terms of physical or digital, I think digital may be better.

I’ve been playing digital and haven’t encountered a single glitch or seen anyone whose played it that way have glitches. Some frame drops and lag, yes, but definitely not glitches.

On OLED the frame rates aren’t as bad, but I imagine they might be more noticeable on the OG model. If you don’t mind the background being a bit low fps, and get engrossed in the story; then I think you could still really enjoy the game because everything else is great.

I am playing on a Switch I bought in May 2017 and I have a physical copy of Violet and I am not having very many intense glitches, just occasional frame drops, bad looking shadows, and the odd loading glitch here and there.

Void aside (especially now that it’s gone from him), Hyperion fits the same bill (since the Squadron Supreme are both a jealous team and were legit made to be a Justice League pastiche)…even if they tend to make them antagonists towards the Avengers due to not being them

and then Icarus is a ***** I guess idk

I'll probably wait to get the new Pokemon, I wanna see if they actually address the glitches and potentially the frame-rate, which has been an issue since the 3DS days for mainline Pokemon.

That and the DLC it'll probably come with. I think from what I've seen, there's a few new interesting things, and I skipped out on like 4 titles in a row. So part of me wants to jump back in. I DO like a handful of the new Pokemon, and I could nab a few from Sword/Shield too.

That said, I know what my team will most likely be, if I do pick it up.

Honestly I don't really think she's that special. Like yeah she's a fun character, but so are Hop and Hau (the former of which I did actually like quite a bit)

Same here. I saw some people comparing her to Goku in terms of personality, and honestly I don't think that too far off of a comparison. Haven't completed Victory Road in full yet though.

A lot of characters in this game make me wish more than ever for there to have been voice acting of some kind like some of the promotional trailers had. Guess I'll just have to wait until late next year for characters to show up in Masters.

As much as I like Violet I still think I enjoyed Legends Arceus more

That game felt laser focused on streamlining Pokémon's core mechanics to deliver a good single player experience which is ultimately what I want out of a Pokémon game.

I'm still getting caught up on DC's comics, but it seems like they believe that the only way to fix the numerous continuity problems caused by the previous reboot is to reboot it again, because this time, it will definitely fix it!

I don't know how many times they've erased the entire multiverse outside of one universe, only to bring it back again when certain characters' backstories become absurdly convoluted without it, only to erase it again once the existence of multiple universes becomes too much for people to follow, etc.

I assume Dark Crisis/the Death of the Justice League is leading into another reboot?
