Holy **** whoever said that one of the new Pokémon resembles ballio, they weren’t wrong.

What a wild design. Also thanks Noipoi Noipoi for the evolution help.

i'm not gonna lie the starters for Gen 9 are my least favorite since Unova. don't really like any of em.

if people want substantial change for Pokemon they're gonna have to stop buying the games.

Game Freak will get the message if SV sells around 15 million or lower. screaming on social media does nothing without action.

Yeah.... about that
i know its not likely and then everyone will be stuck in the same loop with Game Freak.

new game comes out -> graphics/gameplay not up to par -> social media firestorm -> games sell like hotcakes despite heavy criticism -> Game Freak says "if it aint broke don't fix it" -> new game comes out....

something's gotta give eventually and Game Freak wont care until their bottom line is drastically hit

As someone who was an absolute hardass on Sword/Shield

I actually want to play Scarlet/Violet, because unlike Sword/Shield, I actually really like what I've seen.

But what I've seen is also hands down the buggiest game since Gen 1 and, dios mios, how on earth did the game ship in this state. I'm hoping that there's a patch to fix some of this but, I'm not the most hopeful.

Nothing will stop Pokemon fans from buying Gamefreak's low effort trash. You'd think their latest Pokemon wouldn't be more buggy than their very first one but here we are. The wheels on that red dragon don't even work either so the only real function they serve is to look stupid lol.

I mean, they're not wheels at all. They're a throat sack. There's a reason it uses its legs.

I can understand not liking the design, I'm not much a fan of it either, but the wheels aren't supposed to work, because they're not wheels.

It's covered in scales. If real lizards can tough it out, so can gigantic prehistoric dragons.

Question is, will we get patches that address the bugs, or no.

We know we're 100% getting patches for home compatibility, but bugs are another thing entirely, and outside of a scant few instances, Pokemon normally doesn't 'get' a lot of patches to fix its issues.

They probably will fix the bugs but I bet memory leaks won't because those are much harder to shore up. Most games on the Switch didn't fix their own.
I like Pokemon games.
Your part of the problem.

I think the bigger issue is just how many there are. We're gonna need more than just a single patch to fix all the glaring ones lol.

Like, hell, two of my guild mates were goofing around in the selfie mode, and player 2's arms were clipping through their own body and spinning lol.

Idk but 3D Poke games have had something wrong that got patched fast as ****. Gen 6 had that corrupted save glitch, and like half of BDSP was behind a patch. Gen 7 and the rest of 8 had some patches, but not as big.

Now nothing in ScarVio is as bad as 6 or BDSP and I can assume a patch to probably majority of visual glitches and some perfmormance issues will be first

I will say

Just from what I've seen, it may be a hot take, but this game looks like it absolutely blows Sw/Sd's mid-ass out of the water in almost every way.

It just needs some polish.
As someone who played both, that is not a hot take at all. There's a great game behind ScarVio's bugs, SwSh was mid as **** and neeses DLC to carry a super barebones game.

I’ll be getting the new Pokémon next month, likely Violet.

I hope the physical version doesn’t run too bad. Aside from that, the games seem very exciting.

Somewhere out there on this big blue marble
Girls can call other girls their girlfriends, they can kiss them, and society deems that fine, platonic friends.

But I kiss one of my homeboys on the lips goodnight and society... SOCIETY calls ME gay?

It's just ****ing insane

If men have lots of ahem fun with girls, they get called 'players'. If I do that I get called a 'lesbian' smh
