This? THIS is peak.

The addition of Heather is what we all deserve. And the Scotsman? YES PLEASE.

Damn if the Pokémon talk is spam in your eyes then I don't even wanna know how you feel about the posts about the repeated posts about Dynasty Warriors from a while back that no one engaged with
Or Disventure Camp.

I am so sorry.

The Mega Latis in general are something I mainly remember for the amazing Soaring mechanic. God I loved flying around the map looking for Mirage Spots.

I feel sorry for Latias given that my mind associates her with a horrifying fanfic generally focused on her.

I’m contemplating another season. Monkey would be moved to s4 and Jasper would take his place in S2, then the rest would be filled out with Flame Princess, Skips, and Sam/Clover/Alex.

My favorite Pokemon IS Tsareena but I'd never say that stuff about my homegirl

I don't wanna be associated with those Pokefans. Tsareena's just my bestie who kicks fools.
If it makes you feel better, Vaporeon is my favorite Eeveeloution alongside Umbreon and well

It's been rough

IIRC, Vaporeon is actually the objective best Eeveelution to use in most games if you don't pick a water starter, thanks to its handy movepool of great water and ice moves in addition to its bulk. So the memes Vaporeon has taken doubly hurt given how great it is to use ingame.

Of course I'm more of an Espeon and Leafeon girlie myself, but Vaporeon's excellence as a battler cannot be denied

This may be a HERETICAL take

But with a lot of fighting games announcing all their DLC ahead of time

Yeah, I kinda wouldn't hate it if Smash just did that too. They won't, because the hype is part of their marketing, but I'd like it.

I’ve been arguing this since Ultimate days.
I guess it's because a lot of games have started doing this now that I kinda, don't hate it?

Like, don't get me wrong, the build up and suspense to a character's reveal is part of the charm and appeal of Smash's reveal

But also **** going through another 2 Fighters Pass scenarios. The DLC period for Ultimate was some of my most unpleasant times in the community.

Like, unlike a lot of games which probably feel inclined(but not forced) to reveal their DLC ahead of time due to Steam's new rules, Smash doesn't have to follow it, so they almost certainly won't change, but I wouldn't hate if they did.

I thought I was against it when SF6's DLC first leaked, but no I think it just makes everything much easier. And you still can get those hype moments before their release seeing how a character looks in game, their gameplay and even character trailers themselves could still be hype despite knowing the character.

It's bad for marketing, given that it's a crossover game, but I get that having the info would be nice. It's why I kind of have mixed feelings towards it. I don't treat Smash speculation like the end of the world, so I enjoy the guessing game around it, it's not the end of the world, more or less.

Yeah, the mystique and hype 100% plays into the marketing of Smash, and gets a lot of free eyes on Nintendo Directs, so it's no question why they do it.

Girl I literally hypepost about One Piece every other week and there are only like two, maybe three other people who are caught up to the manga like I am.

Your hyperfixation is valid, I only got on that other thing because the guy I was responding to was the person making the DW posts and they were basically asking for it

I wasn't present at the time of the Dynasty Warriors posting, so I missed out on that lore. My bad.

That said, a lot of people would rather that I talk about a cartoon nobody's heard of than listen to all my Deadly Six defense /lh

That said, I did find it odd how he seemed to believe all the Poke-talk was "beyond spam". After all this is a general thread on a gaming site for a Nintendo franchise. Talking about Pokemon is almost inevitable, like everyone else said. Especially on the road to Pokemon Day when you and me and Noi and Shroob and Mighty and all the team here at The Social Thread™ is hyped for Legends ZA news - and, in my case, on supreme hopium for Mystery Dungeon news.

On that note,
Day 17: Chimchar

Shout-out to the Mystery Dungeon Explorers anime specials, peak fiction.

The one time I can recall this person participating in Pokémon discussion is them proudly proclaiming that Weezing is the best mon and that every mon after Gen 2 is terrible. I suspect there might be some bias but hey, that's just a theory. A Smashboards theoryyyyyyy~

On topic, Chimchar is easily my favorite fire starter. Loved it since before I played Pokémon, and the line still holds up as an all time favorite of mine. Infernape's in my top 10 favorite Pokémon, and although it's not as high on that list as my favorite Water and Grass starters I still see them as my trifecta of favorite starters.

I own figures of both Greninja and Decidueye that I randomly found one day at a store in Cyprus, and I've been thinking of completing the trifecta with an Infernape figure (which does exist in the same toy line, I checked), but I'm not sure if I'll get around to that

Finally got the Galar Dex done. Time for the DLC. Thank goodness for the game being tied to the Switch's internal clock as it would be a lot more annoying if the Weather mechanic was RNG or needed actual time to pass in-game like the Time/Space Distortions in Legends Arceus.

I remember that moment. I felt like there might've been some bias myself...though, like you said, just a theory.

The Sinnoh starters in general are great. Infernape especially is SUPER solid all around - there really isn't much the Monkey King CAN'T do. While I tend towards Empoleon most often, especially in Platinum thanks to the expanded dex, Infernape is a mon I've always enjoyed using when I get the chance and I'd love to use him in a future Platinum runthrough

Wish they gave him a better Hidden Ability, though. Imagine: Infernape with SPEED BOOST
