I've thought about quite a lot in the last hour. And now I'm just stewing about the dual facts that most of what I had learned in film class was elitist "my thing is better than your thing" mumbo jumbo, and the fact that I probably didn't learn everything they were trying to teach me because my brain was so full of Nostalgia Critic/Cinema Sins "nitpicks are a critique, this thing I'm watching is Satan's diarrhea" BS, to the point that I was closed off to any actually valid critiques or new information they tried to give me.

Honestly it really makes me think we should just give up on talking to crowds of strangers on the internet. Talk with people you know, but no more of this "i have a strong opinion so listen to me!" stuff that's been going on for decades now and amplified immensely by it.

Well I dunno about all that. There's definitely a place to share your opinions about media online, as long as you're not being a ****head about it.
I don’t know. At this point I think we should honestly just keep it to ourselves unless we’re talking with friends, let the criticism go directly from the critics to the people making it instead of it being out for the public to see.

Hmm, nah.

Scuttling away people's opinions is not a solution to toxic internet discourse. Some of the best videos I've ever seen are just someone talking about a film or a video game. The solution to toxic internet discourse is to just not engage.

I mean my worst brainrot is a result of not being able to recognize toxic traits online, thinking they were legitimate meatheads of engagement, and then internalizing it. I merely wish to prevent that from happening to others.

The objective should then be to help those individuals learn to recognize said toxic traits, and how to avoid them in the future.

Does it suck that stuff like that is out there at all? Yeah. But that's just life, isn't it? You can't protect someone from every little thing, all you can do is prepare them.

I wonder how accurate this will be
There was a problem fetching the tweet

Mario RPG fans infamously refuse to try anything else though so maybe they'll like it and refuse to look at anything else despite the game being meant to be a gateway to RPGs
I'm a huge SMRPG fan and Geno is like the 10th or 11th most interesting thing about the game

I'll always wish it was Mallow that caught on like wildfire

This weeks Rick and morty was another really solid episode. Some big lore drops and a big character shake up for the second half of the season.

Really looking forward to it. I can’t believe this whole season so far has actually been pretty good. The show is hopefully back on track.

It is kinda hypocritical that people ***** about RPGs in Smash but then Geno was such a huge want.

I get it that both camps don't totally overlap with one another, but still.

You mean the jackal, right?

I like him, too. I think a game with stronger writing could have done more with him but I enjoyed what we got.
if only Ian got to write for him

I thought it was because we all believed the world was gonna end
That's because it did end.

We've all spent the past decade in purgatory, where we'll all be stuck posting crummy memes and lukewarm takes on Smasbboards.com for the next thousand or so years.
