I actually really miss that little opening paragraph in Pokemon manuals where they explain the first 10 minutes or so of the game about you going to pick up your starter Pokemon.

Even the 3DS game digital manuals had these on them, i wish the Switch had digital manuals.

Really wish games still came with manuals. Even heavily story driven ones like The Last of Us.

As a rule of course, heavily story driven games manuals would give plot descriptions that are wildly inaccurate whereas games like platformers would have manuals which would be the lore the fans hold on to for decades to come until the company begrudgingly accepts it.

I did experience it as a kid. Pokémon games had manuals up until Gen 7, I think.
