I agree the movie was pretty shallow, but remind me exactly why it’s a bad thing that fans of the series enjoyed catching reference to said series?Illumination are gonna give y'all another shallow as **** movie but weird nerds are gonna clap because they saw Beedle and heard the Song of Storms
It made **** loads of money even though it didn't deserve toLike I genuinely don't get it, Nintendo is aware that the critical reception for the Mario movie was pretty poor so why hire the studio known for making mediocre animated movies again and expect different results?
Since when do critics not like animated movies? Last time I checked Across the Spider-Verse was sitting at 95% rotten tomatoes, it's all about the scriptIts an animated movie, critics probably werent gonna like it anyway
Pixar Metroid. It could always be worse

My canon voice for Mother Brain will always be the Captain N version and nothing will ever change it.Pixar Metroid.
I'm not saying this because of Pixar mom Samus, I'm saying this because we need Pixar Mom Mother Brain
Audiences liked it fine and it made (approximately) a bajillion dollars.Like I genuinely don't get it, Nintendo is aware that the critical reception for the Mario movie was pretty poor so why hire the studio known for making mediocre animated movies again and expect different results?
Idk Miyamoto publicly acknowledged it so I'd expect them to do SOMETHING about thatAudiences liked it fine and it made (approximately) a bajillion dollars.
That’s all they need.
I mean I'm one of theose weird nerds that anjoyed the references, but I think the issue is that people think references = good movie and that's far from the case.I agree the movie was pretty shallow, but remind me exactly why it’s a bad thing that fans of the series enjoyed catching reference to said series?
Dunno why that makes them weird nerds
Audience hears:I mean I'm one of theose weird nerds that anjoyed the references, but I think the issue is that people think references = good movie and that's far from the case.
That said, idk what Schnee is talking about, Beedle should be in the movie or I boycott.
Because it opened with THE DEAD SPEAK and there’s really no recovering from that.If people like references so much then why is no one gassing up Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker? That movie had tons of references
Honestly it was a rhetorical question, that movie was so ass that it made me reconsider how I look at moviesBecause it opened with THE DEAD SPEAK and there’s really no recovering from that.
The only people that don't like animated movies are the AcademySince when do critics not like animated movies? Last time I checked Across the Spider-Verse was sitting at 95% rotten tomatoes, it's all about the script
Mario was just shallow, it wasn't outright dog**** that takes a dump over the entire franchise it's a part of because the director was mad that someone with actual talent resolved his dumb mystery boxes and left the door open for some actually cool ****.If people like references so much then why is no one gassing up Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker? That movie had tons of references
It could've been a good start to another trilogy.Episode 7 wasn't that bad a movie, it just played it wayyy too safe.
I have no comments on the other 2.
This is the WayThe Last Jedi is my favorite Star Wars movie so I hate TROS on principal tbh.
I mean, did you see the reviews? Some of them were downright stupid. Id call them out tooIdk Miyamoto publicly acknowledged it so I'd expect them to do SOMETHING about that
I didn't. I just know I agree with the general consensus about the movieI mean, did you see the reviews? Some of them were downright stupid. Id call them out too
I like that John Boyega is absolutely not shy about how dissatisfied he is with the way he was treated by this trilogy and agree with him on everythingI liked John Boyega's character.
Hated how they sidelined him when he was hyped up to be the Han to Ridley Daisy's Luke, but I enjoyed his character.
He was a bit too dark for certain markets.I liked John Boyega's character.

I mean I'd be pissed too if I was casted to play a big role in the biggest movie franchise (at that time) out there, only for me to get completely sidelined for a white dude that they want to be the face of the franchise instead (alongside the other minority character).I like that John Boyega is absolutely not shy about how dissatisfied he is with the way he was treated by this trilogy and agree with him on everything
He was too dark for all markets, have you seen Star Wars fans?He was a bit too dark for certain markets.
Illumination are not suited for this at all. I don't believe any studio could make a Zelda movie work, but if one could, it's absolutely not them. I liked what they did with the Mario movie, but Zelda is an entirely different beast. I at the least hope that if it sucks, it's hilariously bad, like the cartoon or the CD-i games.Zelda movie
Universal and Illumination are reportedly closing a deal to make a ‘LEGEND OF ZELDA’ movie.
