I don't get this need for sequels especially belated ones to have to deconstruct beloved characters. They did it with Luke Skywalker, Bill & Ted, Dewey from Scream, etc. What's the appeal there?

Same will probably happen to Indy in the fifth film, with it turning out he and Marion divorced.

TheMightyP I read what happened about Emi yesterday. Geez, Emi; as well as that Kevin guy; are literal scum. They should be put in a psychiatric ward because they do need help.

Also, didn't Emi want to become the voice actress for Tails? She has no chance of that now, and should not get what she wants at all.

Luke was just doing what he learned from his masters - when you screw up, go into isolation on a faraway planet.

(also, if Luke had been active the whole time between the original trilogy and the sequel trilogy, then there would presumably be no sequel trilogy since he would have dealt with the First Order long ago)

I can't speak for how Dewey or Bill and Ted were handled; I've only seen the first movie of each series.

At this point I'm convinced people could see an actual trailer for a new F-Zero game or a remake, heck they could be purchasing and playing it on their switch, and they'd still not believe that it actually existed or was possible.

My SEGA Astro City Mini finally arrived after placing an order for one several months ago. I was honestly quite shocked to see it since I never received an update that they were shipping it out.

Now, I can't compare how it operates to the actual arcade unit since I've never seen one before in my life, but the joystick and buttons feel nice and make fun clicking sounds and the games that I've sampled seem to run well enough.

If you think what happened there was bad, there was this guy on Twitter who got suspended from Twitter for what he said about Ian Flynn and his fan, which all happened yesterday. Here's how your average F-Zero GX Remastered online race will go:

• 26 out of 30 racers play as the Blue Falcon because it has the funny Falcon Punch man from Smash Bros., the other 4 racers are GX veterans who quickly went to unlock one of the better machines in the game before going online.
• Every Blue Falcon either bumps against everything or falls off the course in the first turn.

I can't wait.

I'm gonna teach myself to make video games by making a really stupid fighting game where I basically start by copying Street Fighter II and gradually make more and more changes. And the characters attached to it are all going to be really dumb.

Welcome back to March Smashness, we hit the final four! These ones were tightly contested, much less of a margin of leads, but in the end, only four move on.
Here is the backet

As you can clearly see, the entire bracket is now Samus vs Scrimbo Bimblos. Sonic is the last remaining 3rd party franchise, Metroid is the only one that is not primarily a platformer franchise. Since there was only four brackets, I'll just lay on the statistics right now.

Total votes: 25

• Mario v Pokemon was a 50-50 split to start, but Mario was slowly pulling away the more votes came in. Mario leaped for a 16-9 finish, Pokemon just couldn't catch the W.
• Metroid got a significant lead early on, it was 5-0 at the start of the round. Sadly, it was too much for Castlevania to make up. Metroid crawled to a 16-9 victory.
• The closest one of the day: Sonic vs Zelda. This was hotly contested, there were multiple lead changes as voting came it, it started off 50-50 right off the gate. However, Sonic sprinted to the finish line last second, taking a win 13-12.
• And shockingly, Mega Man v Kirby was close as well. This one also had several lead changes, I actually thought Mega Man would score the upset, it was leading for a while, but Kirby has the benefit of the late votes. Smashboards decided their favorite copy machine is the Pink Puff, as Kirby Swallows a 15-10 victory.
