I haven't read Chainsaw Man, but is it that bad in that regard?
Mind you, that's kind of par for the course with shonen manga (with maybe a handful of exceptions like Fairy Tail), and maybe I'm misinterpreting what you're saying here, but I've seen some really bad examples of women being treated poorly in shonen manga. (like Naruto, where every single one of them wind up being healers who don't contribute much in a fight aside from the final villain, who shows up with zero build-up and is a powerful but completely incompetent fighter, or Katekyo Hitman Reborn where the women mostly stick to cooking, with the one heroic female fighter relying entirely on the popular pretty-boy antagonist to do everything for her, or something like Toriko or Hunter x Hunter where women barely exist in the series)
I wasn't expecting Chainsaw Man to be worse in that regard, but then again, I'm not familiar with it.
