Company image is the most important thing for a company.

That's rich and hypocritical considering Disney's actions...They're the same company that also sued parents for putting a Spider-Man figure on their child's grave.

Gunn was also a very different person back then (Those jokes were from the late 2000s) and plenty of people made distasteful jokes, I did so myself that I wouldn't even joke about today.

Either way, doesn't matter. This lead to a better outcome, we wouldn't have The Suicide Squad today! :D

Man, Finizen is such an amazing design. It's basic but it works. And it's so cute.

It's too bad Palafin is so...uh...

Well it's definitely a design alright. But it's definitely not for me. Definitely one of my biggest disappointment when playing Scarlet/Violet was finding out Finizen evolved into this.

Hopefully they give it an alternative evolution in a future gen. Ah but they rarely do that.

As for Gunn, yes, I’m sure he changed. However some of those joke tweets were straight up vile (I’m pretty sure he said he gets aroused when little boys pee on him). It got blown up on the Internet, and while they were like 10 year old joke tweets, Disney had to act or else image would be hurt. It’s all business moves.

Once again James Gunn has cooked good. The Suicide Squad, Guardians 3 and now this!

Oh what a mistake Disney made in firing him. Ironically the best thing that actually could have happened especially now that James Gunn in the new Fiege of the DCU, he'll bring DC live-action movies back to their full glory and great again! On top of more DC animated films and shows.

Not a fan of anything he’s doing with his upcoming Superman movie and he’s not starting with a coherent lineup of characters to build the universe. IMO, it’s not going to turn out well.

in the post GotG 1 age, any team and any lineup can work if the film is of quality. I don’t like GotG 1&2 but 3 and Suicode Squad 2 were great. Gunn makes quality content. I trust him.

Still doesn't erase the fact Disney are define hypocrites.

Did I forget to mention they forced a daycare to remove images of their characters off of their walls? Or the fact they kept Sarah Silverman as the voice of Vanellope Von Schweetz despite having made similar tweets to Gunn? Ones that were more recent? They probably kept her because she's a woman and would have been called sexist. And no being a voice actress and director, two different work positions should not be an excuse.

Yep gotta protect that "image". Disney is truly the most wonderful magical place. /s
