Not even gonna lie, it creeped me out too. This title card actually creeped me out when I was younger.
In the Great Snail Race's defense, Spongeob at least realized he screwed up by the end.So what would y'all say is the worst (or least favorite) Spongebob episode, and what would you say is the worst pre-first movie episode?
For me, One Coarse Meal was my least favorite for the longest, but that may be changing cause there ore some hot dookie ones in the back of my mind, like Pet Sitter Pat and Gary's New Pal, and like half of season 6.
And the Great Snail Race from season 3 gotta be the worst pre-movie episode.
That could end up incredibly interesting but I also kinda wanna see what Sonic Team would specifically cook up. Like, the combat system in Frontiers is barebones but they also considered some more 'traditional' stuff before making it more Sonic-y which I feel is importantHave Izuka team up with Atlus and make the Sonic equivelent to Super Mario RPG. I would love this.
Gonna watch that with the bois next week on our annual Halloween get together, as they're both very confident in being cis, I expect to be a total wreck by the end while they simply don't get it lmaoI watched a Youtube Video about I Saw the TV Glow earlier and I've been a little shaken since.
Like I haven't even actually seen the movie and it's still messing with my psyche somehow. The mere plot summary freaks me out.
So then what would you say is the worst pre-movoe episode? In the Great Snail Race's defense, Spongeob at least realized he screwed up by the end.
I can't say there's really a pre-movie episode I think is terrible, but I'll never forgive the mental scars Wormy gave me.So what would y'all say is the worst (or least favorite) Spongebob episode, and what would you say is the worst pre-first movie episode?

Can I be honest? Probably Hooky. So then what would you say is the worst pre-movoe episode?
Wasn't that the inspiration for that creepypasta? Or was that written before that episode came out?One Coarse Meal, as dark as it is, is a tiny bit overhated tbf.
Like, it's a bad episode, and Mr.Krabs is especially heinous in it, but I feel like there's been worse.
Like the time they did a fake out of Squidward with a rope, where it was framed to look like he was going to hang himself.
Okay, that one's bad for a different reason.Or just, all of the Splinter.
Well, there's the episode where Squidward gets a couch dropped on his foot and it shows in great detail his toenail and flesh being ripped off.Wasn't that the inspiration for that creepypasta? Or was that written before that episode came out?
Either way, those are stupidly tasteless and dark. I don't remember the episode's name, but I can't remember anything positive about it, either.
Okay, that one's bad for a different reason.
Could they have made the splinter and the injury it caused any grosser?
What's weird is that I don't hate these episodes like everyone else does. Are You Happy Now at least had Spongebob trying to help (though they made Squidward far too depressed). Still not a good episode.Like the time they did a fake out of Squidward with a rope, where it was framed to look like he was going to hang himself.
Or just, all of the Splinter.
"It all started when I was born."Also, that episode where they all fuse into one big, cancerous mess at the end is... BLERGH.
"Haha old man" jokes asideCome to think of it, my era of Spongebob was some BS. I was either not alive or too young to remember seasons 1-4, and my earliest memories of new episodes was about late season 5. Now season 6, 7, and 8 I remember them promoting new episodes every week. Truth or Square was heralded as a massive event and that **** was some GARBAGE. They was selling me some DOO DOO CACA MANURE
It was weird. But not like normal SpongeBob hilarious weird, just kinda meandering with really awkward songs and I don’t remember it being too funny.So.....
What's all y'all's opinion on....
Atlantis Squarepantis?
Ass. I remember them promoting the heck out of that too and it sucked.So.....
What's all y'all's opinion on....
Atlantis Squarepantis?
You know what else was a whole pile of nothing that they hyped up? The lost episode of SpongeBob. It was nothing but cheap walk cycles.Truth or Square ****ing SUCKED they hyped it up so much but it just ended up being a “remember the time?” episode.
I meant the Squidward one, but somehow I'm not even that surprised that One Coarse Meal also got a creepypasta.Well, there's the episode where Squidward gets a couch dropped on his foot and it shows in great detail his toenail and flesh being ripped off.
And yeah. The episode's original title was originally "Plankton Got Served" and someone made a creepypasta off it....
And this.....
Frankly, hilarious image

Actually, this more or less matches up with my hot take on that episode as well. What's weird is that I don't hate these episodes like everyone else does. Are You Happy Now at least had Spongebob trying to help (though they made Squidward far too depressed). Still not a good episode.
The Splinter was just boring besides the grossout, but then again Seaon 6 has like 10 contenders for worst Spongebob episode of all time (and Splinter is one of them imo).
hot take but House Fancy is not one of them, grotesque toenail scene included
They did a special for the 20th anniversary which imo would've been perfect for the series finale. Like every single character from the series appeared in that episode (including Mindy), had the VAs play a live action version of Spongebob, and it ended with Patchy the Pirate achieving his lifelong dream of meeting Spongebob, closing with a tribite to Stephen Hillenberg. It was weird. But not like normal SpongeBob hilarious weird, just kinda meandering with really awkward songs and I don’t remember it being too funny.
Not the worst SpongeBob special though, we’ve already established that.
Actually that makes me wonder, do they still do special SpongeBob episodes? I know they still have a holiday or anniversary episode here and there, but like 15 years ago every year they were hyping up a new big event. There’d be happy meal toys just for the new episode.
I think you may be thinking of Red Mist/Squidward'sI meant the Squidward one, but somehow I'm not even that surprised that One Coarse Meal also got a creepypasta.
Also, don't remind me of that lmao
Actually, this more or less matches up with my hot take on that episode as well.
I still think the toenail scene is disgusting and pointless (more so since, like, what other times has Squidward ever even been shown to HAVE toenails? He's a squid), but outside of that one scene, House Fancy is actually a pretty funny and overall solid episode.
Plus, it ultimately ends with Squidward getting a win, and also Squilliam losing for one of the few times since his Band Geeks.
Oh my god this sounds incredibly surreal just because the idea of people having those voices instead of the characters sounds crazy, you got a link?had the VAs play a live action version of Spongebob
idk what they were smoking to have made that episode, but they should’ve been stopped quicker than Dan Schneider. Always know your limits and fears and stuff I guess idk
Oh my god this sounds incredibly surreal just because the idea of people having those voices instead of the characters sounds crazy, you got a link?
It kinda sucks. They got David Bowie and didn't have him sing,So.....
What's all y'all's opinion on....
Atlantis Squarepantis?
Spongebob being weirdly good in live action is a trend actually
For you
You understand me...y’all out here talking about bad, disturbing, and creepy SpongeBob episodes that ain’t do a thing to me. I’ve been able to get through every other episode in the series. Splinter, toenail flesh, all their bodies fused together, and even the actors…
…
…
…but I will always ***** out when that monstrosity of an episode known as wormy pops up…
AhemYou understand me...
Even nowadays, my Wormy trauma gets me feeling uneasy whenever footage of a butterfly crops up in YouTube videos.
Now that SpongeBob is a multigenerational meme icon, they started referencing a lot of old bits. Also they made Nosferatu a pseudo re-occurring character and like...
It's funny but....why?
Also, the kids that grew up watching Spongebob got kids now who are growing up watching Spongebon. Now that SpongeBob is a multigenerational meme icon, they started referencing a lot of old bits.
Sometimes it’s funny. Sometimes it’s not.
Ahem
BZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
The same reason they brought Doodlebob back: nostalgia. Also they made Nosferatu a pseudo re-occurring character and like...
It's funny but....why?
