Considering part of my pitch involves working with the creators of each show and giving them significant power and input, and also putting a higher emphasis on the Disney stuff in general over the OCs, at least for this one game concept, idk, maybe Alex would be down for that.

Between the surprisingly complex action rpg with cool spells and Disney characters and the glitches truck game you’ed pick the glitchy truck game… I mean I’m not even the biggest KH fan this side of the Rockies or anything but even I think that’s harsh.

I played the games for the first time over a discord call with a friend and I already knew as much about the story as I could and we basically turned the story into mystery science 3000 by the end. Except for the first game. The first game was the only one with an ok plot.
I mean, I'm being joking with the big rigs comparison obviously, but I just look at the convoluted mess that's KH's story and like, if I need to read a fan wiki to understand what's going on because there's soo many moving parts and ****? Miss me with that, I'm out.

I know the series is great, don't get me wrong.

But I really just cannot be assed to get invested in it.

He compared to it Space Jam, called both cynical (I guess because he considers them nostalgic crossover cashgrabs or something? I don't know) and while this last part might be a joke, he also called it "proof that God doesn't exist".

I love Alex but the main can be kind of a jerk sometimes.

...Jokes aside, that's unironically lame.
Some creators just seem to have this “none of my food on my plate can touch each other” mentality and honestly it kind of annoys me. It’s hard to respect when, for most fans, they enjoy it for reasons other than all that. Ah well. Ultimately I don’t know the guy personally so I really shouldn’t judge him. But it is frustrating.

I thought that too, but turns out the plot is pretty dang straightforward, it's just unbelievably ridiculous when you remember that it has Winnie the Pooh. At least up until Dream Drop hits which is where it took a wacky turn and it just went off the walls.

So many people just don't seem to realise the trick to following the story is this:

Play the games.

What if there's a game you don't have access to?

Watch the cutscenes or read a summary.

I remember a major gripe people had about Sora being in Smash is because they couldn't take him seriously since he walked around with a cartoon duck and cartoon dog.

...And they couldn't take him seriously in the same game that has plumbers who gain powers by using Mushrooms and Flowers with eyes on them, a puffball who floats around and gains powers by inhaling and eating stuff, and a giant penguin king who hits people with a hammer?

Now in all fairness to Shroob, Kingdom Hearts fans can't even do that themselves.

It's kinda aggravating ngl.

I don’t need a huge fan wiki to understand kingdom hearts, but I’ll fully own up to the fact that my own particular brand of autism spectrum disorder makes me perfectly able at absorbing all the little plot and lore details first time through, and I also speak fluent technobabble. The story isn’t told well, I’m just weird and kind of speak its language. But just because I understand it( or at least I think I do, don’t really know what’s up with the guys in animal masks or the random kid from the mobile game with his trillion random screen names and honestly I don’t really care about them either) doesn’t mean I don’t hate where the story went after game 1. And I could talk your ear off about everything I would have done differently. But it is what it is and I don’t have the capacity to be mad about it anymore.

Ngl I hope Sora comes back and brings the Dog and Duck with him too in Smash 6. Rules be damned, seperating the trio is a crime.

When I said so many people, I meant both within and outside of the KH fanbase.

And Dream Drop Distance ended up being one of the least relevant games in the series.

So on that note, Frontiers worth it? I was debating on it early on, but I decided to wait until all the updates rolled in. Well that time is now, so I am once again asking, worth?
the game itself is fun, but that dlc is an actual sin

Wut

It's literally the one that tied all the games together to lead up to III, brought back the big bad, explained the big bad's plan, explained how the previous numbered titles fit into the big bad's ultimate plan and establishes what will allow Sora to bring back several significant characters.

If you said Coded I could believe you but DDD is up there with BBS in that story wise, it could have easily been a numbered title.

At the very least I want them to be a part of his Final Smash using Trinity Limit. And for them to put the Disney characters back in the Dive to the Heart stained glass windows.

Also for Cloud and Sephiroth to finally get English dubs but eh, what can you do.

I'm honestly kinda surprised Cloud's voice hasn't been canned.

Considering the cheating scandals he was in were pretty high profile in Japan.

Now that's just straight up untrue, the whole game was a very plot heavy prologue to KH3.

I guess you and I remember it differently. I just remember it as two people running around taking a test and only one of them succeeds because he’s not a secret Pokémon so now he can teleport.

Did you entirely forget everything that happens once you start The World That Never Was?

Umm… probably… there’s a chance I remember what was said there but not the fact that it was said there. Something about Xehanort cloning himself throughout time to try to… was he even trying to summon kingdom hearts at that point? I swear I understood while I was playing but evidently I retained very little except for the broad strokes.

He's been trying to summon Kingdom Hearts since BBS.

DDD made it clear he needed 7 lights and 13 darknesses to properly summon Kingdom Hearts. It revealed KH and KHII were respective attempts to get the 7 lights and 13 darknesses. Predicting interference, Young Xehanort time travelled to also collect 13 darknesses as back up and force the good guys to form 7 lights, lest they give up the 7 princesses of heart.

Or just, hear me out, don't cheat on your spouse?
Ok. Fair. But the punishment for that should be “you don’t have a souse anymore and you have a hard time getting a new one” not “you don’t have a job anymore and have a hard time getting a new one”.

Ok. That sounds familiar. Although the part about it being able to be any group of “seven lights and 13 darknesses” escaped me. Still would have liked the seven princesses of heart to get their own key blades and fight Nomura’s OC brigade.

I'd say so, my replay on New Game Plus has been a blast seeing how I can absolutely break the game with the Spin Dash and I'm having a blast before even reaching the DLC.

On that note, the update seems to be rushed on one particular thing, decreasing jump deceleration for Amy, Tails and Knuckles seems to be bugged so try messing with that if they seem weird to play

Is New Pokemon Snap still worth getting?

It seems like a relaxing game with stellar graphics and environments, and I was hyped when it was first unveiled, but other Switch games took priority for me at the time. Is it worthwhile to get it?
