No matter what, I 100% don't think this would be for the main games at all. At the very most maybe some kind of NFT focused spinoff that flops and becomes lost media in 15 years.

Would still be hard to ignore when buying the actual next mainline Pokémon game. If this happens I hope it happens soon just so that they can pull the plug on it asap, I already have the DLC for Violet so I don't need to worry about sulleying my conscience at least until next year

The NFTs are, well, stupid, but I can understand how a corporation would be honeyed in by the prospect because there is (or was) money to be made there. But they're interested in the Metaverse, too?? How can that even happen, the Metaverse has failed at every possible opportunity to do anything right and even Facebook themselves have given up on it.
