Y'all may recall that I posted some designs for exaggerated personifications of game console manufacturers for a series of videos I'm making. Well, the designs are now finalized!

I haven't contacted all voice actors yet, but I have contacted Simon D. Alsei about voicing Xbox, and he's down. We're gonna discuss rates soon.

I just preordered Persona 5 Strikers. Admittedly, I have no idea how good the game is (I haven't looked into reviews or footage of the Japanese version), or how well it runs on Switch (though I'd prefer to play games like that on Switch rather than Steam), but I like the Warriors games that I've played, I really liked Persona 5, and I wanted a physical version of the game.

Admittedly, I have no idea how good the game is (I haven't looked into reviews or footage of the Japanese version), or how well it runs on Switch (though I'd prefer to play games like that on Switch rather than Steam), but I like the Warriors games that I've played, I really liked Persona 5, and I wanted a physical version of the game.

I went with the PS4 version since I personally prefer 60 FPS for action games like this. That, and the load times are much quicker than on Switch.

Might still pick up the Switch port at some point tho.

I'm probably going to pre order it this week. Probably the Switch version for handheld mode but heard about the FPS being lower.

Also thinking about getting The Outer Worlds Switch port since I can get it for about £15 ($20).

I have a random disagreement with Maximilian Dood I want to share with you guys

This is a stage in Guilty Gear Strive:

Max has gone on a couple times about how he hates this stage because of the gray filter on it. Personally, I love it. I think it gives this particular stage a simple and effective aesthetic that isn’t present in a lot of the others. And those deep shadows on the right side of the stage are incredibly effective for the look. I mean sure it does kind of take away some of the POP of the other, more vibrant stages:

And I do agree with him on that front but its such a powerful aesthetic that I have to disagree with him in this one. He also complained about an orange filter over a desert stage but I couldn’t really figure out what he was talking about.

What do you guys think?

Finally got to start my replay of Gravity Rush. Don't know whether because I've gotten better at games or what but game feels a lot easier. And Kat is forever one of the best characters.

Still the game has more artistic direction than most of PlayStation's recent releases. Japan Studio really got ****ed over in recent years. Unless you are Ratchet and Clank, all PS 1st parties has to be realistic it feels like.

Don't know about Gen 2, but from Gen 3 onwards if you have two wobbufets facing eachother holding leftovers, the battle will never end.

I think the more muted color palette and shadows make it a pretty badass backdrop.

I personally like how in that tundra stage, there's not a lot of visual clutter to distract from the characters.

Besides, I don't think its supposed to pop too much. The first screenshot is in a vast, remote snowy landscape whole the latter is in a lush woodland. It makes sense for the backdrops to look more far off in the former.
