He's not that unique, most Zelda characters people want are one shots.

Except none of them have had long lasting large amounts of vocal support like Geno has.

Just to point out, Geno's concept isn't gun for a hand. He's a puppet who can transform parts of his body into guns, or even literally turn into a cannon. He's more comparable to a Jianshi than having an actual gun hand. You could also compare him to the puppets used in Naruto in some ways, namely the weapon abilities.

He does fit MIi Gunner rather well due to having a gun-focused set of abilities, though.

I haven't seen the mods, so I don't know if they're actually accurate to Geno's proper animations or not. Mii Gunner definitely isn't, but almost no Mii costume is really that accurate to the animations. The Premiums are closer, but they still have to force unrelated moves.

Sakurai: Geno was actually a character I wanted to include as a fighter. He has a gun for an arm, and just seems like he'd fit absolutely perfectly into Smash.

Sakurai's stated reason for him originally really was as simple as: "Lol gun arm cool".

The rest often have larger roles(though only Tingle has his own games. At least ones Nintendo acknowledges. Unlike the CD-i ones, where Zelda was playable) but don't show up till spin-offs, or other kinds of issues. Getting a large group behind one is not easy.

I would love to see black mage as the deluxe costume though. He's a cool character and was great in super smash flash, so getting a costume would be hype.

Just saw Final Fantasy VII Advent Children as part of a Discord event.

Normally I would be all happy and Talk about how I found the movie... But seeing how not even my own family cares or wants to hear anything from my mouth, I'll do this thread a favour and not be an annoying pile of **** as my father would say.

It's very certainly not a translation error, considering PushDustin of Source Gaming is the one to translate it.

I second Gmod. Easily my favorite steam game right now

It is a bit dated, and it's reliance on the Steam Workshop leads to quality issues but overall if you like doing dumb **** it's perfect.

I wouldn't blame Sakurai at all for going with option 2.

It was that or just a case of "who the hell are these guys and why should we give them our high profile IP's"?

A sequel wouldn't have helped either. The game didn't do well enough, from what I remember.

And that's ignoring things about people's opinion on qualities/how it works. I find the "use a cutscene to win" a very poor game design idea. It makes tournaments last longer as well, and makes it sometimes just boring after a while. I feel Soul Calibur 4 did it better as a concept. The final attacks were an option that you earned, but you could win through other means. Dissidia did this too, which is a turn-off to me. The game is still cool, but I really have no incentive to do much with it cause battles can last for an overly long time. To the point that even Sonic in Smash feels less annoying to deal with.

Yeah, PSAS had a lot of problems with studios not wanting to license their characters. Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, and Lara all got denied and there were rumors circulating that they tried to get an MK character, Cloud, Snake, an RE character, and more but no one knows if all those are true.
