actually wouldn't it only take one of Nessa's parents being black? from what I've seen of my mixed race friends and I see a lot since I'm in Miami skin color of children compared to parents is basically a dice roll fr.
Ishtar
But sadly no, I checked & their VA are two different people, they're not the same! XD
Silver's VA is Pete Capella, but Normal Marik (Merrick)'s VA is Jonathan Todd Ross...
So, my post yesterday was inaccurate, which was clearly embarrassing on my behalf! Oh well! Lol.
And it gets the Ghost type, my favorite type! I like the original Typhlosion too of course, I just like the direction they took of it seeming mellower but also having these cool ghostly flames.
Simple, it fixed the one thing most people had a problem with from the original, they fixed Kanto.
Remember, in the original game they butchered Kanto to get it on the cartridge, the DS version fixed it, plus adding in a couple new routes with lowkey some of the best music in all of Pokemon, as well as other little flourishes that showed they had passion while making it.
And adding Pokemon Crystal content gave people so much false expectations for future remakes.
My thing is, the only black characters Ive seen in PLA were all quest giving or non important NPCs and even then, there was only a few. Wouldnt Adamen have to have gotten with some darkskinned chick?
To answer your question: Probably not, but we gotta wait for Legends Galar or Legends Unova to deal with the trans-Pokelantic slave trade or Kakuna Klux Klan to see the black ancestors.
JK GameFreak wouldn't have the balls to do that, it might bump up the age rating.

I just beat Legends Arceus's main story. The game is really good, but it reminds me of... another Pokemon game.
The final boss was a corrupted version of Dialga on a ruined temple. If this game was any more similar to Explorers of Sky the Pokemon would be talking.

checking out that Nickelodeon tennis game…and despite using the 87 design for Mikey, they used Greg Cipes (aka his 2012 voice) for the dialogue and catchphrases

Just need Cascoon, Cherubi, Ursaluna, Bonsly, Spiritomb, Vulpix, Magby, Magnemite, Magneton, and Weavile and my Hisui Pokedex will have every mon caught. I feel like Ursaluna and Spiritomb will take the longest.
Haven't seen the show yet but I'm not surprised considering he came back in The Bad Batch. Still kinda wish they stuck with the original plan to kill him off in a duel with Boba at the end of The Clone Wars to cement Boba taking the title of "best bounty hunter in the galaxy"
I think due to licensing/ownership TPC is mostly hands off even when it comes to advertising the series despite it being a Top 10 selling manga at one point (the sales data is rarely updated), I could be wrong and overthinking things though. The series turns 25 years old next month and is oldest piece of Pokemon media that's not the Games/TCG so it wouldn't surprise me if TPC, which came later, didn't scoop up the full control rights like they eventually did with the anime.
But yeah, they get away with a lot, though I think the authors stated that with a few exceptions that no one has technically died in the series. Looking back, I'm pretty sure that the Anime actually has a higher body count technically.
RGB - Giovanni freezes two Magmar using Ice Beam and breaks their statues in half. There's also the infamous Arbok being cut in half scene, but it's revealed in the Yellow saga that it survived and regrew it's body back.
RS - They briefly kill off Steven, Norman, and Courtney, but bring them back by deus ex machina Celebi.
FRLG - One of the Team Rocket admins falls off an airplane. I think the author off-hand mentioned on Twitter years later that: "Oh yeah, they totally survived off screen. No one in this series has died."
XY - Lysandre and Malva both fall into a bed of Zygarde generated sharp rocks with a large pool of blood, but it's left ambiguous enough that they'll probably return when XY are remade.
ORAS - Archie & Maxie are killed during RS/Emerald due to abusing the Red/Blue orbs but are briefly brought back to life to power up Groudon/Kyogre before returning to the afterlife. It's never fully explained how they were resurrected but implied slightly that it may have been Arceus based on the timeline of events and that they ended up in the Distortion World when they died.
They also explain that Zinnia hates the Devon Corporation/Pokemon Association as they were directly responsible for killing Aster off screen.
There's definitely some other inappropriate/censored stuff and one awkward Twitter post from the authors but I could be here for hours discussing that like the nerd I am. I really dislike Zinnia as a character, so I'm glad the manga did me some justice in regards to Delta Episode shenanigans.
I really hope we get something new for the 25th anniversary next month. For the 20th anniversary they did an Artbook and Data/Factbook, but something tells me we'll only get a PLA saga announcement.
Legends Arceus question, are those nature mints from SwoShi in the game? Got an Alpha Shinx with a somewhat iffy nature. Also, do Alpha mons actually have higher stats or do they just start off with effort levels? Finally, if they have better stats, does this change when they evolve or do they keep the higher stats? I ask as I know evolved Alphas revert back to their regular sizes

I just checked and they have higher Effort Levels than non Alphas, so they indeed get the boost. Regular mons have maaaaybe 1 effort level but Alphas have at least 3 level 3 stats
As of today, the registration for the online SwSh tournament has opened, with participants getting a shiny Galarian Articuno (with the other two birds coming in the next two months). I'll probably participate for the first time just to get those, luckily you don't actually need to win, as I'm not super competitive.
Aaaaaand, we can continue with our regular schedule
DAILY DEMON SHOWCASE
This showcase's demon is of the Wargod race:
“My name is Wargod Huang Di. I’m pleased to make your acquaintance. Now, shall we?”
Alignment: Light-Neutral
Origin: Chinese history. Huang Di is a legendary ruler who, during the Han dynasty, was given the attributes of a divine king who centralized state and as a patron of esoteric arts. During the Warring States period, he became to represent the element of "earth" and Huang Long, the Yellow Dragon, which references his title, Yellow Emperor. Legends about him include his mother giving birth to him as a virgin and him beating Chi You in battle.
Next time, you will meet a demon of the Raptor race.
Huang Di looks so cool, it’s a crime SMT doesn’t do more with him. Yeah, he’s a historical figure but so is Yo****sune and unlike him, Huang Di has an extensive history of apotheosis with him being an “immortal”. He could even be in SMT V as he’s related to Nuwa as it’s said he helped him in the creation of humans. Aside from looking badass, his clothes also reference to Huang Long in a pretty nice way.
Today is the 20th anniversary of Kamen Rider Ryuki, an incredibly daring take on the superhero genre due to it's shake up of the franchise's formula.
