I started reading Demon Slayer; I'm about seven chapters in, but I'm enjoying it so far. (though I feel like I'll have trouble with remembering the names of anyone but Tanjiro or Nezuko, the main characters)

Also, I've changed my avatar to something more Christmas-themed.

I started watching this because my brother watched it and wanted me to check it out. I’m on like episode 14 so far. It’s not to bad, at least it’s easily accessible on Netflix.

Ignoring potential glitches, you need to fight Koga to use Surf before you can fight Blaine as that's the only way to reach Cinnabar, so Gym 7 always has to come after him

Additionally, the way the levels work in Kanto nudges you on a certain path far more as Surge is decently lower than Eirika, and she's about eight levels lower than Koga and Sabrina

I mean, yeah, otherwise level progression gets screwed. But in the way it is, you can challenge yourself and change your route, or skip a GYM with bad typing matchup for you and do one where you have type advantage first. Having this freedom to plan and go to places that could be harder or easier for you is where the fun is. As s side note, my favorite speedrun category of Super Metroid (to watch, because I am not crazy enough to run that) is Reverse Boss Order. I love that game.

Just tagging Lamperouge Wademan94 and other Xenobros that (on my side of the pond) it's now been four years since Xenoblade 2 came out, capping off still one of the best years in gaming ever. While shows its age in a few ways it is still an amazing game.

Still to me the game that really proved how amazing the Switch was.
Starting my journey through Alrest in my bedroom in Ireland in Docked mode and ending it a month later at 2am in an RV in the middle of nowhere of Florida in Handheld mode still meant a lot to me.

And how a few days before, I fell asleep at a gun range cause I stayed up til 5am trying to get KOS-MOS (and succeeded) is still a funny story. However best of all three and a half years later we got our second/third Xeno rep in Smash.
Perfection.

Exclusively OST, and honestly, for as much hate SwSh has I'd still say it has great music. In fact, it's the one of the few things I see most agree on positively.

I mean, yeah, otherwise level progression gets screwed. But in the way it is, you can challenge yourself and change your route, or skip a GYM with bad typing matchup for you and do one where you have type advantage first. Having this freedom to plan and go to places that could be harder or easier for you is where the fun is. As s side note, my favorite speedrun category of Super Metroid (to watch, because I am not crazy enough to run that) is Reverse Boss Order. I love that game.

Potentially, but as we started the argument with, doing that means you're intentionally screwing the leveling curve so that you get put at a disadvantage for that challenge. I wouldn't call going to Koga after Misty a good leveling curve as there's a large difference between the two and doing so screws up how the other fights go in the game (Surge for instance gets stomped like Kraid in a sequence break run). It is a fun option to go after if you want that challenge, but the game is not properly scaled for it if you do.
