Really for me the big problem is naming the characters because I've had concepts that just sit around for months on end without a proper name.

You gotta do what I've been doing this year and keep a page on the notes app on your phone just filled with one or two hundred possible character names when you see a name out in the wild that inspires you. It genuinely helps a ton. I see someone with a unique last name in a news article? Jot it down in the notes app for posterity. See a cool name that rolls off the tongue well being used in a TV show? Jot that dude. Then when you wanna name a character, look back at your list and pick one that speaks to you.

I miss when Disney villains were fun. I’m not opposed to a good twist villain, but there’s hasn’t been a good one in a while.

Seen Luca? No twist villain, granted the antagonist comes across as more of a snobbish jerk then an actual villain but it was nice to see that mold break.
