So we are all on agreeance to stop prentending that SwSh looked good, right?
I always said I never liked the graphics but would see complaints against that online. They would have worked better if the art direction wasn’t so bad. I’m glad legends is really playing with color with this time.

Some parts of Legends Arceus do look rough, namely the ground or clothing textures. Still miles better than what SwSh had. And to be honest, I don't even mind those textures that much, it's still a Switch game and BOTW looked rough up close as well, I just hope they work on their shaders a bit. The cel shaded humans and Pokemon clash kinda badly with the environment. Other than that, it looks fine enough for a Switch game.

I still think some parts of SwSh looked good from an aesthetic perspective at least. Like even if the textures weren't great I still have a soft spot for the Glimwood Tangle.

Nerdy Fun Fact, Sw/Sh's art director James Turner also worked as a concept artist for Amphibia and you can kind of see it here.

And then there were some actually cool animations like Behemoth Blade.

But even I can't deny that the Wild Area was just awful. It was the terrible pop in that did it for me. Hard to be immersed in exploring a game when you can't see a monster 3 feet in front of you. Sadly even with their graphical improvements Isle of Armor / Crown Tundra couldn't fix their optimization issues.

imo I think Legends looks good especially from the viewpoint of it being based on paintings. Maybe cel-shading could’ve helped with the painting look but I don’t think it’s needed and maybe it’d be weird idk.

Some textures do seem a bit odd compared to others though (iirc; some look like they’re of a higher resolution or more detail or something, but I may have to look again since my memory isn’t perfect and this is just me trying to be objective), and apparently some trees have normal-mapping issues (I saw something on Twitter with some trees having some strange black or dark areas on their leaves), but personally I don’t care about that much. They still have a good 5 months left anyway, maybe about 3.5-4 or so months for actual development time.

Poké man work on funnee frog show?

This pleases me.
Yep! Y'all probably know him as the guy that designed Golurk and Vanillish.

But he also drew these gems back in Amphibia's production.

I know him as the guy who designed one of my all time favorite Pokémon period

But yea this concept art is rad. I saw the first one before, didn’t know it was Turner though.

So I think it’s common knowledge that Microsoft used some weird program they developed to basically convert the N64 ROMs of Banjo-Kazooie, Tooie, and Perfect Dark to Xbox ROMs which they could then edit. So please Microsoft, for the love of god, work with Nintendo and use that tech on Donkey Kong 64 and Mario 64. Even just ports that output in widescreen and 1080p with polished up controls would make the games 100 times more playable.

Sonic Forces would be a solid 6/10 for me if they didn't bother with Classic Sonic and just focused on 3D stages more.

Pokemon fans be like: writing<music<gameplay<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<trees
I'd argue it'd be a 7/10.

But wow, what happened with the Classic stages? They felt fine in Generation.

My guess is dev issues, I heard an interesting line of speculation the other day that Forces was rushed because Sega needed a new Sonic game after their big and expensive experiment with Boom didn't pay off, so that explains overall quality but if you look at concert art and ****, the lyrics of the game's main theme, Classic is entirely absent with Fist Bump only referring to 2 people, Classic was absolutely a cash grab to try and get some extra sales from Classic fans despite Mania being exactly what they wanted.
