The funny thing is, in the manga the cards are basically the Yu-Gi-Oh universes' equivalent to MTG, and that's all they were. Just cards. So figuring out the lore is like figuring out MTG from a different fictional lore

Last time I checked the lore they were all Spirits used in ancient Egyptian spirit battles and that Pegasus just transferred them over to cardboard or some ****.

(I'm intentionally not posting a bunch of cards that happen in between these because if I did the image server would probably break)
Compared to Duel Terminal, there's much less to pay attention too(iirc there's only like... 6? 7? archetypes involved?) but it's still very, very confusing if you just google "World Legacy card art"
